My November Love With Food box arrived over the weekend, but I wanted to make sure I got a chance to try everything before I posted. I don’t always love everything they send, but I love trying it all!

The Box

Love With Food ships via DHL Global Mail, which starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS. My tracking never really updates until it’s delivered, so I don’t both tracking it anymore. It’ll get here when it gets here.

First Look

I had forgotten all about the spoiler that they’d released for this month so I was quite excited when I was reminded of the tuxedo popcorn when I opened the box.  I haven’t had a chance to read any other reviews on this yet, so it was a total surprise to me what was in the box.

The Information Card

The November Love With Food theme is “Flavors of Fall” and was curated by Chef Ryan Scott.  All meals this month (LWF donates a meal for each box purchased) will be donated to Harvest from the Heart, which was originally founded by Chef Ryan to make sure that everyone got a Thanksgiving dinner to eat.  Here’s what the box included:

~Tuxedo Popcorn from Kukuruza:  This was even better than I expected it to be.  It had a lot of chocolate flavor and not much caramel flavor, which was totally perfect for me.

~Green & Black’s Organic, Dark 70% Chocolate: Mmmm, I totally love dark chocolate so this was perfect for me.  I loved it and I thought the little pouch it came in made it even better.

~Maple Fudge from Laura Secord: I don’t love this, but I think that’s mainly because I don’t love maple.  I like it in my syrup, but not in much else.

~Ginger Twist Tea from Mighty Leaf:  This will be headed off to my cousin along with all the other teas I have been collecting.  B can’t drink it fast enough and I don’t like it, so it’s lots of tea for her!

~Almond, Apricot and Yoghurt Bar from Eat Natural: I found this better than I’d expected, but I am not sure I’d buy more.  It was crunchy which was good and the yogurt covering was good and I think if it’d been a different flavor instead of the apricot I would have loved it instead of just thought it was okay.

~Rosemary Sea Salt Shortbread from Dancing Deer Baking Co.: I wasn’t thrilled by the smell of these, but they are actually quite good.  They remind me of a fancy cookie you’d get at the spa.

~Sweet Corn Crunch from Sensible Foods: I am shocked, but oddly enough I actually like these.  I thought why would I ever want toy snack on dried corn?  I don’t know why really, but I want to.

~Authentic Indian Spice Blend from Arora Creations: I guess I haven’t tried everything in the box yet because I didn’t try this yet. They are authentic Indian blends and I am going to leave it up to B what to do with these.

~Sweet Potato PopChips from PopChips:I totally love PopChips and I was thrilled to see these in the box.  Sweet Potato ones are good, but my all time favorite PopChips are the cheddar ones.  I can only find them at a this one gas station kind of near us and every time I pass it I have to stop and grab a bag.   They should tell them more places.  They are that good.

Some of the other Eat natural bars are nicer than this one!! I can’t remember which one if my favourite but it’s full of nuts and it’s yoghurt free!

I love how you spell yoghurt over there. I feel so many spelling it lie you.

Haha I always think it looks wrong when I type it!

I was thrilled with my Love with Food box this month. There was so much to enjoy! Like you, I was surprised by the corn – it was surprisingly good and tasted like crunchy sweet corn on the cob. Since I do like maple, I thought the fudge was fantastic – like a fudgy version of maple cream.

    1. Jennifer

I was not expecting that corn to be good.

Does your local target not sell cheddar Popchips? Mine does in the chip aisle.

    1. Jennifer

No ;(. THey have other flavors, but not the cheddar.

    It must be the Mainer in me, but that maple fudge sounds like heaven! You haven’t had anything until you’ve eaten pure maple sugar candy. Its as horrible for you as it sounds — literally sugar thats soaked in maple sap and formed into a candy square. Ah-may-zing! {Unless, like you, you aren’t a big maple fan!}

    1. Jennifer

I feel like it’s possible I have had that??? I wonder where though? Hmm. I need to think about this!

It was a fun box this month!

The deluxe box had all of that (duplicates of most things) and then it also had a box of pistachios with a seasoning on them. They are good but the seasoning dust gets everywhere!

    1. Jennifer

I wish the deluxe had all different items!

The maple fudge was actually really yummy spread on pancakes with the preserves from the popsugar box

    1. Jennifer

Ohh, I can see that being good!

LOL. I should have taken a picture of the last tea box I gave her. She was like seriously? It was so full of tea!

  8. Lori

I love all the tea you sent me. Wholly cow its a lot. I have it in a cute basket.

      I have more…

I loved the maple fudge and will find a way to order it. The dark chocolate was used to bribe baby boy to go to preschool today and it worked. Sadly I ate the rest in seconds it was heaven. The kettle corn was set aside for hubby who loves tiger tail popcorn. Everything else is in the pantry up for grabs I just cant bring myself to eat the apricot bar it doesnt sound good.

    1. Jennifer

It actually wasn’t bad I swear!

    2. Ayame Giralt

The apricot bar was actually one of my favorite things in the box but I’m also a sucker for anything even slightly coconutty. And when you find a way to order the maple fudge let me know!
