My November Love With Food box arrived over the weekend, but I wanted to make sure I got a chance to try everything before I posted. I don’t always love everything they send, but I love trying it all!
Love With Food ships via DHL Global Mail, which starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS. My tracking never really updates until it’s delivered, so I don’t both tracking it anymore. It’ll get here when it gets here.
I had forgotten all about the spoiler that they’d released for this month so I was quite excited when I was reminded of the tuxedo popcorn when I opened the box. I haven’t had a chance to read any other reviews on this yet, so it was a total surprise to me what was in the box.
The November Love With Food theme is “Flavors of Fall” and was curated by Chef Ryan Scott. All meals this month (LWF donates a meal for each box purchased) will be donated to Harvest from the Heart, which was originally founded by Chef Ryan to make sure that everyone got a Thanksgiving dinner to eat. Here’s what the box included:
~Tuxedo Popcorn from Kukuruza: This was even better than I expected it to be. It had a lot of chocolate flavor and not much caramel flavor, which was totally perfect for me.
~Green & Black’s Organic, Dark 70% Chocolate: Mmmm, I totally love dark chocolate so this was perfect for me. I loved it and I thought the little pouch it came in made it even better.
~Maple Fudge from Laura Secord: I don’t love this, but I think that’s mainly because I don’t love maple. I like it in my syrup, but not in much else.
~Ginger Twist Tea from Mighty Leaf: This will be headed off to my cousin along with all the other teas I have been collecting. B can’t drink it fast enough and I don’t like it, so it’s lots of tea for her!
~Almond, Apricot and Yoghurt Bar from Eat Natural: I found this better than I’d expected, but I am not sure I’d buy more. It was crunchy which was good and the yogurt covering was good and I think if it’d been a different flavor instead of the apricot I would have loved it instead of just thought it was okay.
~Rosemary Sea Salt Shortbread from Dancing Deer Baking Co.: I wasn’t thrilled by the smell of these, but they are actually quite good. They remind me of a fancy cookie you’d get at the spa.
~Sweet Corn Crunch from Sensible Foods: I am shocked, but oddly enough I actually like these. I thought why would I ever want toy snack on dried corn? I don’t know why really, but I want to.
~Authentic Indian Spice Blend from Arora Creations: I guess I haven’t tried everything in the box yet because I didn’t try this yet. They are authentic Indian blends and I am going to leave it up to B what to do with these.
~Sweet Potato PopChips from PopChips:I totally love PopChips and I was thrilled to see these in the box. Sweet Potato ones are good, but my all time favorite PopChips are the cheddar ones. I can only find them at a this one gas station kind of near us and every time I pass it I have to stop and grab a bag. They should tell them more places. They are that good.
Did you get Love With Food this month? What’d you think? I really enjoyed this month and am totally looking forward to seeing what they do for the holidays next month!
If you are interested in signing up click here. Subscriptions (for a regular box) are $12/month, but you can use the code “FB7OFF″ to get your first box for only $5. I can’t locate any coupon codes for the Deluxe Box (it’s $19.95/month and contains 16-20 items), but I will keep my eyes open for one and will update if I hear anything! If you got the Deluxe Box this month, what’d you think? Was there anything different?
