Edited to Add: Silly Rhino is no longer in business.
Silly Rhino, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box suitable for babies ages 0-4. Each month they include only 4-5 of the the safest, environmentally conscious and highest quality products. Items made include toys, personal care items, accessories and gear.
Anna, the mama behind Silly Rhino is actually a member of the Facebook subscription box B/S/T group I am in, so I have “known” her for a while now. I am always excited to check out new boxes, so I was super excited when she asked if I’d want to go a review.
Silly Rhino ships via FedEx Ground which thrills me beyond belief. It arrived to me in just a few short days. Also the Silly Rhino packaging is totally adorable. Cure customized boxes aren’t necessary to have an amazing box, but I do love great packaging.
The first look was awesome. I didn’t recognize anything in the box, which I LOVE because I feel like one of the best parts of subscription boxes is discovering new brands you wouldn’t have heard of otherwise.
Silly Rhino doesn’t have a monthly theme, but they so have a fabulous information card. It has product information, pictures, prices and coupon codes. Silly Rhino breaks up age groups into 0-1, 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. You can opt for a gender specific or gender neutral box I opted for a boy box for WB, who falls into the 1-2 year-old box range. Here is what was inside:
~Woodours Bowl & Spoon by Geared for Imagination ($8.98): Geared for Imagination was founded by two Dads who wanted to bring the best toys possible to customers. I’m not familiar with Woodours, but it collection tells the story of the love between the Papa Bear and the Baby Bear. This set is high-quality and beyond adorable. And now I am going to have to get the book because the story just seems so sweet.
~Bog Berry Dryer Balls ($12): I have some dryer balls that I use on a regular basis and I love them. They really do cut down drying time. I swear. These are suppose to be the best of the best and I can’t wait to use them. Also I love all the fun colors they come in. All my other ones are just plain. These are cute!
~Folkmanis Little Puppet ($12.99): This little puppet is so life-like it’s almost scary. The boys think it’s hysterical and WB was cracking up when L was “performing” for him. The best part though is that it doesn’t make me sneeze like real-life cats do.
~Earth’s Best Greek Yogurt Smoothie ($2.99): I’m not even sure I knew these existed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them at a store by me? I need to order some though because WB made short work of this.
~Are You My Baby: Safari from Chronicle Books ($8.99): I used to think I had a pretty good library going for the boys. That’s until subscription boxes came along! We read it as soon as it came and WB enjoyed it. And I enjoyed the animal sounds he made while looking at the pictures ;).
All totaled I came up with a value of $45.98 for the November Silly Rhino Box. Boxes are $35.99/month and decrease in price with a longer subscription. I loved my first box and may need to add this to my monthly box rotation!!!
