December Barkbox
December Barkbox

I wasn’t expecting the pile of packages on my porch this morning and I so was not expecting Barkbox to be in that pile. I wasn’t even sure if it’d shipped yet! But the furries were quite happy to see it. It’s a rainy mess here and they are kind of bored.

The Box

Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took 10 days to arrive (I looked in my Barkbox account to track it once it arrived). I didn’t get a shipping e-mail on this one (or maybe I just didn’t see it), so I didn’t know when it was coming.

First Look

The first look? I loved it!! Everything looked adorable and the dogs and WB kept trying to grab things away from me when I was taking the pictures.

The Information Card

The December Barkbox didn’t really have a theme, rather it just noted some of the things the Barkbox team shares with their “canine kindred” like beds, treats, kisses, and secrets. LOL. Here is what was included this month:

~Simply Fido Reindeer Toy ($9.99): We got a reindeer from Barkbox last December which I thought was the cutest thing ever, but this is a close second. Plus, that first reindeer is toast.  The boys already trotted this off to their toy stash and will be fighting over it later.

~GoDog Yetis Toy ($6.97): Now this was stolen quickly by WB who seems to think it’s a new toy for him and I don’t blame him.  It’s totally something I would buy for him.  It has “Chew Guard Technology” which I am guessing means it’s harder for dogs to rip apart?  That basically means we’ll have it forever since my dogs aren’t huge chewers.

~Planet Dog Eats Chicken & Pumpkin Pot Pie Flavor Treats ($3.32):  I am going to pass along to my brother and SIL and their three dogs!  They get Barkbox as well, but they need treats more than I do and Baxter and Buddy don’t love hard treats so much.

~Bistro Bites Peanut Butter & Applesauce Treats ($6):  Now Baxter and Buddy will love these.  They are tiny and perfect for these two.  And what’s better is that it won’t be horrible when the big boys (L and WB) dish out a few of these at a time.

Bistro Bites Peanut Butter & Applesauce Treats

~Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick ($2.50): I don’t know if I have never read the card on these before or what, but I had no idea they were made out of beef bladder!  The dogs like them though and it’s better for them than rawhides!

Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick

All totaled, the December BarkBox has an estimated value of $28.78.  It was more than the monthly cost of the box (which again is $18/month if you subscribe for 6 months or more) and this was probably one of my favorite Barkboxes to date!
