December Citrus Lane

One of my three December Citrus Lane boxes arrived this morning (the mail came super early) and even though I knew what was in it, I was anxious to dig thru it.

I had originally ordered a “Deluxe” box and a “Classic” box for WB (who is 20 months-old), so that I could compare the two. This is the Classic box, however, I hear that they are exactly the same and they have said that the “Deluxe” items are shipping separate? Not really sure how that’s all working, but I will report when I get my things.   They are no longer offering the three different box options (Basic, Classic & Deluxe), but if you wanted to read about what they were planning, click here.

The Box

Citrus Lane just changed their shipping method and is now shipping via FedEx Smart Post.  So instead of taking the normal 4 days or whatever, it took eight days.  Boo ;(.

First Look

The first look was as expected.  Actually I wasn’t totally sure what I’d be getting.  I had a pretty good idea, but I didn’t know if the toy would be a puzzle which I’d seen some people get, or a stacker.

The Information Card

The December Citrus Lane box doesn’t have a true theme, it indicated that the holidays are all about making memories.  The box this month also contains a punch out craft that you can use to make a holiday scene on the wall.  We haven’t done too much with their other punch outs in the past, but this one seems cool.  Here is what our box contained:

~Handprint Art Kit from Pearhead (~$9.95): I am all over these kinds of projects and we will totally be making this.  I am going to have L make one too when we get the next box because he likes that kind of stuff.  L’s handprint will look fabulous, but WB’s will be a mess I am sure since he can’t keep still.  It’ll be messy though and I like that.

~Rainbow Stacker from Melissa & Doug ($7.99):  We love stackers and while I actually got WB a set of M&D stackers for Christmas, I don’t mind the spare.  I am going to give it for my mom to have at her house.

~I Took the Moon for a Walk from Barefoot Books  ($7.99): Adorable book.  I can’t wait to read it to both WB and L at bedtime.  I do wish they’d mix up their brands a but though  as we have gotten a few Barefoot Books in prior boxes and I’d like to see some different stuff.

~Snuggly Lotion from Episencial ($5.08): Love this brand and love this lotion.  We don’t “need” any more lotion, but I don’t “need” any more lip gloss and I am always happy to receive that, so it’s about the same!

All totaled I came up with a value of $31.01 for our December Citrus Lane box.  It didn’t wow me like last month’s box did (you can see that one here), but I don’t hate it either.  I feel like it could have used something else.  Not sure what, maybe a snack or a pouch or heck even a lip gloss for the moms, but something.
