December Datelivery

Datelivery, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly date night in a box! Each month you’ll get a unique, planned out, themed date night along with complementary items to enhance your date night experience.

December Datelivery
The Box

Datelivery ships via USPS Priority Mail and took the promised two days to arrive.  I don’t think Priority Mail guarantees their two day delivery, so I’m not totally sure why they even include the number of days it will take?

First Look

Datelivery has a different theme every month and they aren’t announced in advance so it’s a total surprise when it arrives.  Datelivery is a box I have been wanting to check out for a few months now, so I was super excited to see what it was all about.

Second First Look

I still couldn’t figure out what the theme of this one was, but I knew from this look that B would be excited!

The Information Card

The December Datelivery theme is “A Picnic Under the Stars” and included everything you needed to have a date night in!  B and I stay in a lot (which I like), but we are totally guilty of not really doing anything together after the kids go to bed.  I mean we’ll catch up on DVR stuff, but we don’t really “hang out”.  Hopefully this can change that!  Here’s what was included:

~Get To Know Your Mate Game:  A little game to play while on your picnic to get to know each other better.  I think B and I know each other fairly well, but there’s always more to learn!  Datelivery also suggests that the winner gets a prize, which I am all for.  I just need to determine what that will be before B gets home tomorrow night and we have our date.

~The Snacks:  Since it’s a picnic (which I am thinking of setting up in the living room)you don’t need a full meal, but of course you need some snacks!  The box includes crackers, sausage and brie, which are perfect picnic foods.  Add in some wine and you’re all set!

~Paper Goods: Other than wine, you seriously don’t need anything!  The box even included paper plates, napkins and a tablecloth!

~Under the Stars: Your picnic is supposed to be under the stars, but I’m pretty sure B would lose his mind of I pinned / attached these to anything.  LOL!  I am thinking that these would be awesome on the top of the lower bunk of L’s bunk bed or even in the tent for when we do some indoor camping.

Under the Stars

I didn’t do a cost breakdown for Datelivery, which starts at $25/month because a lot of it is about the experience and less about the goods in the box.  I love the idea behind this box and think it’s totally something B and I could benefit from!

You should put the stars up with poster putty! I love that stuff! It holds really well and doesn’t leave any marks!

My ceilings are kinda high. I’d have to drag in a ladder. LOL. I guess we could picnic in the basement though!

Such a fun box!! We’d love to try something like this. And those stars are awesome–I actually had them on my bunk beds growing up!

I don’t even think those stars were invented when I was a kid ;).

I’ve been waiting to see a review of this box! Your nights sound a lot like ours with DVR list and movie viewing. Ha! That counts for something I guess but not really date-like. What are some of the questions on the game cards?

    1. Jennifer

They were broken down into little groups, like “Romance” (you can pretty much guess on those), “Finish the Sentence” (“If I could go back in time I would change?..”), “Talk for one Minute” (talk about your goals for one minute), etc.!
