Today was a total Fancy Box day around here! I received my December Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tyler Florence and Kelly Rowland Fancy boxes! My FedEx guy must have though I was crazy. I’m going to start with the December JLH Fancy Box review, because well, I just am.
And just in case you aren’t familiar, the Fancy has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Ashton Kutcher, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Tyler Florence or Pink (not sure if this is still an option since you cannot subscribe to it on their site anymore). They also offer a Fancy Food Box.
Fancy Box ships via FedEx and usually takes two days to arrive. FedEx seems to be on top of their game this season as I haven’t had anything delayed from them. I know they are working like crazy this season because I was at FedEx the other day dropping some stuff off and it was nuts in there.
I tried finding some spoilers for some of the Fancy Boxes I was expecting today online, but struck out. That kind of made the first looks of all of these boxes even more exciting!
When I opened the box and peeked in, I actually wasn’t sure which Fancy Box it was. I mean, I knew it was either Kelly Rowland or JLH, but I had to look at the packing slip to see. I just so happened to pick the JLH box to open first because it’s orange and I liked that color best. Just like the last few months, the December Jennifer Love Hewitt information card don’t have any indication that they are her picks. They have little notes on the back about why the items were selected, but they don’t have her name or picture on them.
Here is what was inside:
~Dream Essentials Spa Set ($15): I have this in the fridge already and look forward to using it in the morning. Or heck, the minute it’s chilled enough. I love a cool towel on my eyes and was really excited it see this. It was the item that was packed in the silver envelope pouch, so if it’s not an item you’d enjoy, it’s gift giving ready.
~The Wah Nails Book of Downtown Girls ($18): I am not sure what I will do with this book other than flip through it and admire all the nail designs? I will likely end up putting this in the gift pile for someone more fashionable than I.
~Kitsch Electric Slide Hair Ties ($14): B saw these and was like seriously, how many hair ties does one person need? And I was like baby, no matter how many you have, it’s never enough. I have them everywhere and am constantly losing them, so any time they appear in boxes is a good thing for me.
~NCLA Designer Nail Wraps (Pizzo Lace) ($16): Not my favorite pattern NCLA has, but I am going to use these. I really liked how many ones from my PopSugar box turned out and I think if I keep practicing I can get them to look really good.
~NCLA Nail Polish (Rodeo Drive Royalty) ($16): Nail and hair ties in the same box? I love it. The only thing that could have made it better would have been lip gloss. This polish is a fabulous color – it’s described as a cran-apple and is perfect for winter!
~Let’s Get Lost Makeup Pouch ($18): This pouch can be used for makeup, toiletries or whatever you need to hold. I am thinking of using it as a purse organizer. It’s totally something I would buy and the color is perfect.
All totaled I came up with a value of $97 for the December Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box! I loved this box way more than last months’ box and think it was worth the $46.95 cost of the box ($39 + $7.95 shipping). I say it all the time, but I think the JLH Fancy boxes are my favorite celebrity Fancy curated boxes. B doesn’t agree, but I think that’s because he doesn’t wear nail polish ;).
