December Mama’s Got Mail

Mama’s Got Mail, who kindly sent me this box to review, arrives earlier this week and, as always, I was anxious to dig into it to see what this month was all about.

If you aren’t familiar, the idea behind Mama’s Got Mail is to help you feel encouraged and supported as a mom so that you can be the best woman you can be. Previous boxes have ranged from books to crafts to jewelry to coffee – lots of different things in these boxes! No matter what it is though, it’s all about taking some time for YOU!

December Mama's Got Mail
The Box

Mama’s Got Mail ships via USPS Priority Mail and was one of the boxes that came in the “first shift” of mail this week.  Is anyone else getting this?  One mailman brings packages, the next brings regular mail?  I pretty much love it.

I knew right away the theme of the box (how could I not), but I was stumped on what the “puffy thing” was.  Umm, I thought it was a toilet seat.  I am laughing just writing that because I was like this is SO weird.  It is not ;).

The Information Card

The December Mama’s Got Mail is “Bath Time” and includes all the ingredients you need for a nice long hot bath (minus the wine of course).  With the holiday craziness, Shannon (the Mama behind Mama’s Got Mail) thought that everyone could use some total and complete downtime.  Even if it was just an hour.  Here is what the box included:

~Large Luxury Spa Bath Pillow ($19.95): I am *this* close to wrapping it up and giving it to B for Christmas.  He spied it sitting on the counter and was all “what’s this”,”where is it from”, “what box”, etc.  I sensed that he wanted it to have come in one of his boxes so he could have claimed it as his home. But I am going to do my homework with this one.  I could do a little time alone and while I am not a huge bath person (so weird but I don’t like when the back of my hair by my neck gets wet), this does sound quite nice!

~Lavender and Lemon Bath Salts from Good Fortune Soap ($8.50):  Smells good and according to the company, a little goes a long way in terms of scent.

~100% Beeswax Candles from TheTurtleWickRoom (~$6): I’m not totally sure of the value of these, but I think this is a fair guess.  I just got some new ceramic “sweater’ candle holders and these will fit perfectly.

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.45 for the Decemver Mama’s Got Mail Box!  Not my all-time favorite box from them, but I do think everything is totally usable and may not be things we’d buy ourselves (like the bath pillow), but appreciate having (well B will for sure).  There was no “self check-in” worksheet this month other than to just RELAX because December is such a busy month for most of us!

I love that you thought the bath pillow was a toilet seat too! I saw it on another review and wondered why they would include a toilet seat 🙂
