December Travelbox
December Travelbox

Travelbox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box service just for travelers, the travel-obsessed and people on-the-go. Every month you’ll receive a package of innovative, unique products designed to inspire and supply your travels. I don’t travel nearly as much as I wish I did (one day though), but maybe this will make me feel like I have been traveling!

The Box

Travelbox ships via USPS Priority Mail and, umm, took seven days to arrive instead of the stated two days.  I even looked up the tracking online to make sure that they actually gave it to the Post Office when the label was created and they totally did.  So this delay is totally not the fault of Travelbox by any means!  Like I mentioned in my last review, shipping around the holidays is all crazy and I am sure that next month things will be back to normal.

First Look

Everything was packaged beautifully and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside!  Forgive the picture quality.  B made me open it last night (it came yesterday) because he wanted to see what was in it so badly!

Second Look

I had no idea what to expect from the Travelbox, but I liked what I saw from this! I recognized a few things and didn’t recognize a few.

The Information Card

The December Travelbox is the “Founders Edition” and includes innovative items from all over the world, including the following:

~Breffo Spiderpodium (UK) ($20.44):  Well how cool is this?  This is awesome.  You can use it to hold your iPhone / or camera or whatever up basically anywhere.  I cannot tell you the number of times we’ve had the phone on the dashboard using it as a navigator  and it’s fallen on the floor.  Not to mention trying to prop it up for WB to entertain him with some elmo in the car or a restaurant.  This is going in my bag asap.  Love!!!!

~Luxe City Guide (France) ($9.99):  I hope to one day get the chance to use this!  I went to Paris after high school on class trip kind of thing, but that was ages ago!   I am overdue for a trip abroad. Maybe for B’s 40th?  LOL.  That gives us plenty of time.  My 40th is way too soon to think about planning a European vacation.

~Dreams Essentials Sleep Mask (United States) ($9.95):  I am going to give this to Lisa over at Yuppie Traveler to use on all her insanely long plane rides.  The actual mask itself reminds me of a padded bra.  I wish I would have taken a picture! I giggled when I saw it.

Dreams Essentials Sleep Mask (United States)

~Lanolin Agg Tval Eggwhite Facial Care (Sweden) ($4): I got a small sample of this in my Wantable box this month and thought it was neat, so this is great!

~Guylian Artisanal Truffles (Belgium) ($1.09): B saw these and his eyes got all big!  We’ve had them before and they are delicious!  OMG so good!  The card is right – they are the perfect turn down service treat.  Now if I could just find someone to put them on my pillow at night….

Guylian Artisanal Truffles (Belgium)

All totaled the December Travelbox had a value of $45.47!  The box itself is $38.95 ($33 plus $5.95 shipping) so the value was totally there and I enjoyed their picks, some of which I never would have know of on my own – like the iPod / iPhone stand thing!
