Crafter’s Crate, who kindly sent me this complimentary box to review, is a monthly subscription box that delivers hand-picked crafts and activities made for girls. It’s $19.99/month and is billed for girls ages 5-12.  I like to do reviews on all sorts of boxes, so I am planning on doing my review and will pass this box along to a friend with girls to enjoy!

The Box

Crafter’s Crate ships via USPS and arrived here in just a few days.  It actually showed up on Saturday and I am happy I did get a few boxes over the weekend because, once again, we didn’t get mail yesterday.  I have a suspicion it was just getting to be too late in the day so they headed back (*) and figured they’d just continue on in the morning.

Second First Look

I have received a few Crafter’s Crate boxes before, but I am always impressed by their packaging and how nice everything looks when it arrives.  In case you can’t see by my pictures, all of the crafts come packaged in individual plastic pouches with the instructions inside so you really don’t have to worry about missing items.  It teas makes it easy to do one craft at a time in case you don’t have time to sit down and do them all.

The Information Cards

The January 2014 Crafter’s Crate theme was “Princess Crate” and included the following projects to help your little one realize their princess qualities while making your creativity come alive:

~Princess Wand:  The forst project included everything you needed to make a Princess Wand and, in retrospect, I probably could have had L make this.  He wouldn’t have known it was a Princess one and I think he would have really liked making this.

~Princess Bracelet: I would have never thought to use part of a paper towel roll to make a bracelet.  That’s obviously why I do not invent the crafts!

~Princess Art Painting:  The idea behind this is to right a word that describes your favorite Princess and then paint over the words (which will appear after you paint).  Such a cool idea and can be used for more than princess stuff.

~Princess Tiara: I briefly considered making this for myself, but I didn’t ;).  I can’t see why any little princesses wouldn’t like this!  Again it’s a fair simply idea, but a great one that would be fun to make.

Princess Chocolate: Every princess does need her chocolate and I was quite pleased to see some Dove chocolates in here when I opened the box.  They are long gone, but trust me they were amazing!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was sent for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
(*) I actually had mail which needed to be mailed in my mailbox which never got picked up and I was expecting a package which didn’t appear.  The tracking on the package says “Customer Unavailable – Delivery Attempted” or something along those likes which flat out isn’t true because we were home and umm, there were no tracks by the mailbox / on the sidewalk!
