January 2014 GLOSSYBOX
January 2014 GLOSSYBOX

My goodness, I was not expecting my January 2014 GLOSSYBOX in the today, but there it was, just sitting in my mailbox this afternoon! I was under the impression it hadn’t shipped yet (I didn’t get a shipping notification and it doesn’t say shipped), so this was a big surprise.

The Box

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS. It usually takes about four days to arrive from NYC and I think that’s about right this time as well.

The GLOSSYBOX

I save my GLOSSYBOX boxes every month, which is actually becoming a little crazy.  I’m not really sure why I continue to save them, but I do.  Every month. I do end up using them to gift things and the like, but do I really need them all?  Maybe?

The Information Card

The spoilers for this box had me super anxious for it to arrive.  And the first look?  Amazing. I was excited to dig in and see more!

The Information Card

The January 2014 GLOSSYBOX theme was “Welcome to 2014” and includes items to make sure that you have the best skincare and makeup to start off the new year.  Here’s what was included:

~Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash ($5.67): I didn’t think that the smell was anything to write home about, but it’s suppose to be “invigorating” which I could certainly use in the morning.

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash

~The Original BeautyBlender ($19.95): I’ve gotten a few Beautyblenders here and there, but never a white one (it’s exactly the same as a pink one – except it’s white), but I love them and am always excited to get it!  They do eventually need to be replaced (I think 3 months is about standard?) so I am thrilled.

The Original Beauty Blender

~BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush (Desert Rose) ($20): I don’t know if GB sent out different shades of this blush, but I am quite pleased with the color I received.   I’m not sure if you can tell my the picture, but it’s full sized and is a very genius full size at that!

BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush

~Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Casual Sea Salt Texturizing Spray ($6.25): I am on a mission to try all the sea salt spray I can.  I tested this out real quick and it smelled fabulous. What did I used to do before sea salt spray?  My hair must have been sad.

~Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream ($9.18):  It’s hard to really say what you think about a cream after trying it only for a day, but it did make my skin feel nice!

All totaled I came up with a value of $61.05 for the January 2014 GLOSSYBOX!  I totaled loved this month and love love love all the new brands I get introduced to through GB!  The box is $21/month, however I subscribed during some promotion so I pay only $17.85/month.  I don’t know how they do it, but GLOSSYBOX always has an incredible value and always includes introduces me to brands which is amazing.

Did you get GLOSSYBOX this month?  What’d you think of the box?  What variations did you get (where they any this month)?  If you are interested in signing up or just want to learn more, click here.  And don’t forget to use the code “FANFAV” to get a free lipstick in your first box!
