Petit Vour, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box of cruelty-free beauty products, hand-picked from businesses that align quality with progressive standards. The majority of the products they include are from brands I didn’t even know existed and always has me amazed by their finds.
Petit Vour ships via USPS First Class Mail and took a few days to arrive. B helped me take a few pictures today and was like do I really need to take a picture of the outside of the box? Umm, yes B! What if someone has never seen the box before and wants to know? I know a lot of it is repetitive if you are reading from month to month, however, but if you are reading it for the first time, hopefully it’s helpful.
I didn’t recognize anything in the first look. While I do like receiving things I know and love, subscription boxes (for me) are also about discovering new things.
The January 2014 Petit Vour theme is “Read, Set, Glow!” and is described as your cure-all for winter skin blues. The box includes included the following items to make you feel soothed, refreshed and ready to embrace your best year ever:
~Beauty Without Cruelty Mascara ($24.95): This is a no-clump natural mascara that is designed to “feather” your lashes. I still have some mascara I need to use up so I didn’t want to crack into this (well I wanted to, but thought it would be better not to have 20 mascaras open at one), but it’s next on my to use list.
~Le Beurre Shop Beurre Shea Butter Body Cream ($15): This is described as frosting like and I totally agree. It’s super rich, smells great and I am planning on slathering it on my hands and feet every night before bed!
~Bella Pelle Chiara Polish ($12): This smells like something super familiar, but I can’t place it. It’s not super smelly, but it’s something. Anyway, I tested it out quick and it left my skin nice and soft.
~Ellovi Lip Butter ($5): Love lip balms and I feel like you can never have enough! Oddly, I have a vegan lip balm in the same shape as this, but it’s from a totally different brand. I feel like the shape of it gets more on at a time? And the balm itself is nice. Not clumpy and it smells good.
All totaled, the January Petit Vour box had a value of $56.95 which is insane considering that the box itself is only $15/month! I have no idea how they do it (their box values are typically at least double the cost), but they do. They also offer a rewards program and a referral program and offer discounts on some of the products in the box each month so you can earn free boxes!

They have been so good these past few months!
Love, love, love this blog, and I’m not just saying that because you love Beurre Shea Butter Body Cream. I’m so honored that you took the time to try out my product! You have my support Jennifer! I’m sending you more stuff just because……
Aww thank you! It felt very nice on my feet last night!
The smell reminds me of bug repellant. And not in a nice way.
I need to go smell that again!
