With today being a holiday I was NOT expecting my mailman to appear, but all of a sudden my January 2014 Socialbliss Style Box popped up on my front porch!
The Style Box by Socialbliss, who kindly sent me to this box (which is the same box January subscribers will receive) to review (the one I ordered a week or two ago hasn’t shipped yet to my knowledge) is a brand new fashion, lifestyle and accessories box.Boxes contain items which may be featured on the Socialbliss site, along with others that are emerging hot items not yet available to the public. Boxes are $47.90 ($39.95 plus $7.95 shipping) and promise a monthly value of at least $100.
The Style Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrived in two days. Well, three, but there was a weekend in there. I wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow because of the holiday, but like I said, I received it today.
I am not kidding, I was so anxious to see what was in this box. I could not get it in my house fast enough. As you can see, everything was perfectly packaged and was wrapped up like a gift.
I was so-so on the first look. And super curious to see if there was anything else in the box.
The Socialbliss Style Box includes a great information card with pictures, prices, product details and how to’s. It also include a Designer Spotlight corner which gave additional details on one of the designer products in this month’s box. The January theme was “Rock Star” and is described as someone who is “A rebel. A leader. A free spirit who bodily races ahead of the crowd and energizes others with her electric spirit”. Here is what was inside:
~Forever Cool Fedora by The Hatter Company ($22): First of all, let me just say that I look ridiculous in this hat. But I see celebrities and other fashionable people wearing these and they look great. Socialbliss suggests combining it with ripped jeans and leather or with a frilly dress or silk camisole. I will likely pass this on to someone more stylish than myself and will admire how great they look it in.
~Rebel Studded Bag ($55): I totally love this! You can use it as a clutch or a “swing purse” and I don’t even think you need to be anywhere near a rocket chick to make this work for you. It’s a great size and will fit far more than most clutches I have ever used.
~NYX The Smokey Look Kit ($12): A great kit with totally practical colors that work for me! At first I thought I got a different kit than pictured, but then I realized I needed to pull that little drawer out.
~Shield and Honor Killer Style Bullet Necklace ($60): I thought that this was just made to look like a bullet, but no, it’s an actual .308 real caliber bullet which is encrusted with Swarovski crystals! I will totally wear this one and I am loving it way more than I thought I would at first glance. It’s on a 34″ chain, but it’s adjustable.
All totaled I came up with a value of $149 for the first every Socialbliss Style Box! Like I mentioned, the box itself is $39.95 plus shipping per month so the value is totally there. This box is a little more cutting edge (is that the right word) than a lot of the other boxes out there, so if you are on top of the latest trends, check it our for sure. I am definitely keeping my subscription on this one and already am looking forward to next month to see what that theme is!
