~Well, the longest Christmas break in the history of the world is finally over today. Seriously, I feel like Christmas was months ago. I believe L has been off school for, umm, nearly 3 full weeks? A two week break plus three snow days in a row. Insanity. I think L was annoyed he had to get up, but that was a long (and super fun) break and it was time. Plus, umm, it’s only two days and then it’s the weekend again!
many activities that went down these last few days.
~Subscription boxes have been a little slow these past few days, but I am expecting a ton in the next few days including Wantable Intimates, Fancy Food Box, Peach Dish, Hello Fresh, Stitch Fix, Montubox and FAIR Treasure. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head anyway. And no, there are no January PopSugar spoilers yet! They just billed yesterday, so I am guessing boxes will start getting shipped within the next few days. Maybe spoilers mid-next week??
~Can I just tell you how excited I am that the “Error Establishing a Database” errors aren’t happening here anymore (eta oops maybe they still are. Back to the drawing board)? It was a mess here the other day. And, on top of that, I can easily edit the Monthly Subscription Box List now! I think I mentioned before I had to pretty much jump through hoops to do it. But thanks to Dr. Google and some random forum where apparently all the WordPress geniuses hang out, I was able to fix it all myself! Woot woot! Score one for me!
~I rewatched that David Blaine special on ABC last night and listen that guy makes me nervous. Yet I cannot take my eyes off the tv. I was this close to opening up some of my oranges to see if the card I was thinking of was in there. Crazy. Does he ever do live shows? I want to go.
~Thank you (or maybe not) to everyone who clued me into the Illume candle sale. They have so many options I don’t even know where to start. Those retro tin candles are probably a good place though;). They gorgeous (and cheap) and I kind of want to try one of all of them. I have them all in my cart, but I kind of hope some sell out or something before I order. LOL! ~So this season of the Bachelor is already bringing the crazy huh? Has this Kylie woman who is complaining that the producers set her up never watched the show before? How much of this show do we actually think is real? I like to pretend in my head that all reality shows are totally real, but…..
~B has drill this weekend and it’s going to rain and rain and rain, so the boys and I need something fun and indoor to do. Hopefully something, umm, not at our house since the boys have been cooped up here way too long. Any out of the box suggestions for a 1 and a 5 year-old? I could do indoor play area or even like Build-A-Bear, but what else? What I’d really like to do is take them to the beach and let them play in the sand because I know they’d love that, but I don’t think we have an indoor beach around here. LOL!

Maybe you could take the boys to one of those paint your own ceramics places. Or maybe the library will have a fun kid even this weekend 🙂
I thought about Pottery, but realized that would be like taking a bull (WB) into a china shop!!!!

I would love to make a huge illume purchase and stock up on gifts, but my husband’s 40th birthday is in a couple of weeks…and he doesn’t want candles!

I don’t get nearly as many boxes as you do, but I am expecting a few this weekend also! I am getting Blue Apron, Wantable intimates and Sample Society, Blush Beauty and probably Birchbox by Saturday.

ughhhh Candles- I have a weakness for candles and now I love these Illume Candles since they were in a Popsugar box. I had got the Nice in my box and then ordered the Naughty….now I just purchased 7 of those retro tin ones…..ugh. Well at least I am set on candles. I need to get burning….doesn’t help that the daughter works for B&BW’s too!

American gymnastics has open toddler hours 10-12 on Fridays. They may have some sort of open gym on Saturdays too, not sure though.

Ughhh now I want ALL the candles. I’m trying so hard to not spend much on myself this month…but I’m not doing very well. I had to get my boyfriend to talk me out of making a Victoria’s Secret purchase last night. Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t very helpful.
PS- I just got an “Error establishing a database connection” message when trying to come here. Refreshing fixed it, but it also won’t let me reply to other people’s comments.
PPS -I keep getting an error if I try to Authenticate with OpenID so if my comments managed to go through a billion times, that’s why. 😉

Thanks for the Illume link. I just ordered 6 candles that I did not need because I just stocked up at BBW. I agree – candles are an addiction! If hubby questions the quantity I’ll have to tell him they are for gifts! LOL

I wish I had known this earlier because this morning I spent about $50 on candles at BBW however the scent selection for the $9 candles was a bit limited and I wasn’t exactly estatic with all of my choices…So to make up for it I bought 6 from Illume. Haha, oops. I’m completely obsessed with candles and have them everywhere, seriously everywhere. Also I was so excited about the candles that I forgot to click the final submit order. I checked my email for the confirmation a few times before I realized it was never submitted. Needless to say, it’s been a long day. I’m ready for Friday!!

Michigan Science Center is fun. We haven’t been, but have heard that the Ann Arbor Hands On museum is fun for kids.
I have never been to the hands on either, but I want to one day for sure!

Lily went back to school yesterday too, she was so ready (she’d begged to go back on Wed. but still had a fever). David Blaine freaks me the eff out, he is so odd.

Oh my goodness, Kylie on the Bachelor… Do you follow Possessionista at all? She writes about fashion from various TV shows and is one of my fave Bachelor commentators. My friend’s brother was a contestant on Ashley’s season and says most of it’s real, but producers do set up the cameras and tell them to talk about certain things.
