First Look

I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I was excited when I opened the box and saw all these great goodies!  Between my two dogs and my brothers three (plus the one who he is fostering), we are in need of lots of dog things!

The Information Card

Happy Dog Box has a fabulous information card with brand information, product details and more.  They also run a monthly contest where they give you a free box if you send them your dogs picture with their box and they end up using the picture on their information card.  Here is what was included:

~Barkworthies ($4): Love that there were two of these in here for Baxter and Buddy!  They will most certainly fight with each other anyway, but eventually they will settle down and enjoy their snacks.

~Nootie YumZies Treats ($7.99): Baxter and Buddy love these, but they are great little training treats, so I will be passing these along to my brother’s herd.  They are grain free and made in the USA, which is huge these days!

~Dog for Dog Dosgbar ($3.99):  For every DogsBar you buy, they will donate one to a dog in need.  These can be used a snack, a meal supplement or in between meals.  This will be another item for my brother’s dogs who will much appreciate it!

~FlushPuppies Doodie Bags ($1): Not only are these waste bags, you can flush them down the toilet without any problem at all.  What a great idea because, well, you know why.

~Loving Pets Purely Natural Dog Treats ($7.99):  We’ve had these before and the boys always enjoy them.  They are produced in the US with only naturally and locally sourced ingredients.

~Petsport Toy ($~7):  This could not be a more perfect toy for my boys.  WB and Buddy love to play tug of war and this gives them both good spots to grab on to.  I say it all the time, but I need to get a video of these two in action.  It’s hysterical.  Buddy could so win in about two seconds, but he loves playing with WB so much that he pulls at WB strength so they can play longer.

~Licks for Dogs Liquid Vitamins ($5.07): I haven’t been able to get my dogs to actually try these yet, but I think I am going to try mixing it in with their food to see if that works.  Buddy for sure needs some Zen in his life ;).

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $37.04 for the February Happy Dog Box!  Boxes are $25/month (or $21/month if you do a 6-month or longer subscription) and boxes can be customized for small, medium or large sized dogs.

Hmm. I like the look of this box. Most of the treats look to be grain free (which would make it more likely for my dog to be able to eat them – although any that she couldn’t my boyfriend’s dog could) and the price isn’t bad. I may try this one out eventually. It looks better than the other pet boxes I have boxes I have seen which contained mostly things my dog couldn’t eat or use.

I wish I could find one that includes pet clothes though. I have a little dog and so does my Mom. I don’t dress my dog up all the time but my Mom HAS to put clothes on her chihuahua or he won’t stop shaking. So, I’d love the option of getting new doggy clothes in each box.

Oh, now that’s a box that I have never seen before!!! Someone will eventually start one I would guess!
