MyIrelandBox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a subscription box straight from Ireland to your doorstep!  The box includes 1 large or 2-4 Irish made/designed home goods, accessories, jewellery, stationary or beauty products.

The Box

MyIrelandBox ships directly from Ireland and takes slightly over a week to arrive.  My box clearly went through some rough times to get here.  LOL.  The irony that it’s labeled “Fragile Please Handle With Care” and that it looks like a complete disaster with no sign of a note or “I’m sorry” isn’t lost on me.

First Look

I was scared to open this box because I didn’t know what the state of the contents would be and I didn’t want everything to be damaged.  But I am happy to report that the only damage was to the box.  Quite remarkable because I thought for sure something would be broken.

The Information Card

The February MyIrelandBox theme was “Grá” which is love or sweetheart in Irish Gaelic. Here is what was inside:

~Snow Event Design Claddagh Ring ($21.84):  If this doesn’t fit on your finger, they suggest hanging it on a chain, which I think would be even cuter. Snow Event is a husband and wife design team and are located in Dublin City.

~karoArt Ceramic Tiles ($6.55): Not only do I love this ornament, I am also quite obsessed with this entire etsy shop as well. I think this wall art is really cool and would love to be able to do something like that!

~Breandan O’Conchuir St. Briget’s Crosses: I cannot find this vendor online, but the card says that the St Brigid’s Cross is a symbol of protection used to protect your home or car. It’s to be hung from inside your front door or from the car mirror.  Interesting!  I have never heard of such a thing!

~Bog Standard Irish Linen Candle ($9.78): I’m not familiar with what Irish Linen smells like, but this smells pretty good to me.  I’m not sure if we have ever gotten a candle from MyIrelandBox before but I’m happy it’s here now!

All totaled I came up with a value of $38.17 for the February 2014 MyIrelandBox. That does not include the value of the St. Brigid’s Cross, because I can’t find that one online! Boxes start at $41.70/month and a mini option is also available for $24.32/month (that’s after the exchange rate).
