Petit Vour, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box of cruelty-free beauty products, hand-picked from businesses that align quality with progressive standards. They consistently introduce me to new products I never even knew existed, which I think is amazing.
Petit Vour ships via USPS First Class Mail and consistently ships around the 15th of the month.
Ohh, I didn’t recognize anything from the first look in this box which had me extra excited!
The February 2014 Petit Vour theme was Love is Magical and was described as “The best of beauty, without the broken hearts”. Here is what was inside:
~Ofra Pressed Blush ($15): I liked the color of this blush and how smoothly it went on. It’s more of a springy color for me and makes me wish that it was just a tad warmer out right now.
~Amala Purifying Cleanser, Moisturizer & Mask: I am in the middle of testing a bunch of other products out right now, so I haven’t gotten a chance to use these. But from what I have read these sound great (they are plant based) and will be fun to try out.
~Everyday Minerals Sunlight Corrector ($7): I am still perfecting the technique on this one. It’s a powder used to cover dark spots under your eyes, but I more used to a cream concealer, so this is going to need some more practice.
~Everyday Minerals Tinted Lip Butter ($6): Love this lip butter! It’s pretty rare I meet one I don’t like though! As long as they aren’t too tinted, I am game.
~R.L. Linden & Co. Ms. Tilly Rosalie’s Beauty Tea (~$1): Not tea, beauty tea. You add this tea to boiling water, drape a towel over your head and breathe deeply and enjoy the cleanse it will bring to your skin. I haven’t figured out how I will use this one yet, but I do need to have a little at home spa day soon and this sounds good for that.
All totaled, the February 2014 Petit Vour box had a value of $29, plus the value of the packets, which I didn’t calculate. I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorite Petit Vour boxes, but the value was certainly there (boxes are $15/month) and once again, they introduced me to a handful of new products I would have never know of otherwise. They also offer a rewards program and a referral program and offer discounts on some of the products in the box each month so you can earn free boxes!

This actually looks like a really fun box to get too – gosh I just want too many of them!
They come up with some great stuff!
I am so tempted to subscribe to Petit Vour! I would have honestly been a little disappointed with this box because I’m not a fan of Everyday Minerals. Beyond that, I love the idea of getting introduced to new cruelty-free brands.
I think it’s the first time I have seen them in a Petit Vour box. They do a great job of not repeating brands!
I love Everyday Minerals. Their powder foundations are fantastic. They are one of the only manufacturers who don’t use Bismuth (which makes me itch like crazy). The best way to use the foundations or correctors as concealer is to use a small concealer brush or your finger tip. I use a small amount and pat it on when I use my finger tip. I use their flat top brush to apply foundation.
Thank you for the tips!!
You could also use the sunlight corrector as a highlight for your eyeshadow…or an all over “wash” for all ready applied shadow. FYI…Everyday Minerals have amazing eyeshadows. Unfortunately, they change up their colours all the time, so when I find one I like, I order a bunch of them. They are powder, so they are good for up to 2 years!
That is good to know!
