February 2014 PijonBox

The last box in my four month PijonBox subscription arrived yesterday.  I subscribed last fall during an insane promotion they had on Living Social and have been quite enjoying these.

If you aren’t familiar, PijonBox is a monthly subscription box geared towards college students. Each PijonBox includes 5-6 products selected just for college students (subscriptions are customized by male and female – I got the female) and contain a value of $30-$50 per box.

The Box

PijonBox ships via FedEx Smart Post and took the standard week for it to arrive.  Because of college breaks, they did not offer a December box and do not offer boxes in the summer.

I have no idea what happened to my first look picture, but I don’t have it!  I had seen a few reviews of this box, so I had a basic idea of what to expect.  The February 2014 PijonBox theme was “Rise and Shine” and included items to get you out the door on the right foot in the morning.  Here is what was inside:

~Toothbrush by Brush with Bamboo ($5): Not overly exciting, but someone could always use a fresh toothbrush around here.  And I am almost certain college kids aren’t swapping them out on a regular basis, so this is a great addition.

~Oat Works Oatmeal Beverage ($2.33):  I received this in a box last month and really liked it so I was glad to see another.   They are much better than you’d think.  Well, at least they are better than I expected.

~Reviver Clothing Refresher Wipes ($3): B got one of these last month and I was jealous, so I was happy to get my own. It really does take the icky smells away from your clothes.

~Go! Towel Mini ($1.20): You add a little bit of water to these are boom, it’s a washcloth.  I am throwing these in my bag right now.  I think they will be awesome for cleaning up spills.

~Rooted Beauty Lip Butter ($4.99): I couldn’t get this opened fast enough to try it out.  It’s some of the most unique packaging I have ever seem for a lil balm.  It’s in  a biodegradable paper tube and instead of turning a dial to get more, you push it up from the bottom.  Totally cool!

~Color Club Nail Polish (Love Links and Nature’s Way) ($16):  Well I am never sad more about polish, so this was a complete win for me.  At this point I know there is no way I will use all this polish I have in this lifetime, but I still love it all.

~popbar Hot Chocolate on a Stick ($2.99):  This isn’t my all time favorite hot chocolate, but it is for sure the most fun and unique one I have tried.  It’s freezing out here today (what’s new), so I am thinking that snuggling up with a blanket, this and a some ice skating tonight is sounding pretty good!

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.51 for the February 2014 PijonBox for her.   Boxes starts at $25/month, but the deal I bought through Living Social was $49 (or $12.25/month), so I most certainly got my money’s worth and was really happy with this subscription.  I’ll probably try out a new box for a while instead of renewing, but I was quite pleased with this for the price!

What do you think of PijonBox? Did you get a box this month?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn a little more, click here.  And if I hear of another great deal on this one, I will let you know!
