These aren’t numbered this week (oops), but you get the idea!
1. It seems that I now have two little bakers on my hands! Just like L, WB is all about mixing and stirring and is so totally into it. He’s not as understanding that he needs to be using a spoon instead of his hands, but he’s learning.
2. You can barely see L in here, but he’s on the left side of the picture and that is what WB is cracking up about. They are so funny to watch when they play together.
3. Not only is WB into trains (he is even trying to build his own tracks now) he all into L’s legos. And L is so patient and lets him play (within reason), even though I am sure he’s annoyed about it.
4. This guy spent a day at my mom’s this week and really, I don’t know who loves it more? Him? Or my mom? She thinks he’s hysterical and he cried when she said it was time to go home. I’d say they had fun.
5. Do 5 year-old ever smile normal on the first attempt? Or second for that matter? Totally not related to this picture, but basically so many kids at L’s school have flipeez hats that we got a text yesterday saying that we need to make sure to label them because they were getting all mixed up. LOL. Whoever thought of these hats was a genius.
6. These are the SkyZone socks B tried to get me to recycle. Umm, I think not baby. They are like hospital grippy socks, but in WAY better colors and with a way better fit. My kitchen floor is always super slippery so these are perfection.
7. Waterslide anyone?? My mom texted me the picture (she’s crazy and went for a walk at the beach in this weather) and said it’d be a while before anyone is using that slide! LOL!!! So.much.snow.
8. I got another R.A.K. (Random Act of Kindness) in the mail this week and just love this idea. I need to think about how I can do more RAK kind of things.
9. Lego Movie comes out today! And L is on his way to earning a big new lego set for his chore / reward / behavior chart from the past few weeks. He is (smartly) saving his rewards until he can get something he really wants and I can’t wait to see what set he picks out!
What is the RAK thing you always show!? I want to get in on sending strangers surprise goodies! 🙂
This is from the Erin Condren group RAK they have, but I wish there was a general RAK group somewhere!
No 5 year olds do not smile normally ever. I was lucky and N was all into our photos the other week and she got some really good ones. We are planning for the Lego movie next weekend when we head to my moms. My friend down there and I are going to take all the boys to see it. This weekend is just too crazy to get there.
I am always amazed at what professionals can get out of kids!! Such good pictures!
My son loves to bake, too! He gets so excited every time I bust out the Kitchen-Aid mixer!
LOL! So cute!
Recycle the SkyZone socks? Not on your life! My SkyZone MADE me purchase them, so I will be keeping them for the next time I take the kids there. They got rid of the jumping shoes (no one used them anyway) and make you wear their socks. My kids also bought a pair at the local roller rink (they are a bit higher that the regular ones) so we’ll be saving those, too!
I know right? Those are MY SOCKS now!!!!!!!!
I didn’t know the flipeez hats were a big thing! I’ve only seen them on your boys (granted, I have an 8-mo-old and don’t get out much). I love how committed you are to your grippy socks! That’s me with my house boots that are totally falling apart, and my husband teases me about them all the time. Love that your boys are such buddies!
I even steal ones from the hospital!
I just sent out my first RAK this week and I also love the idea behind them! I can thank your post about EC a few months ago for my obsession with my Life Planner. It’s weird that I never really needed a planner until I quit my job and became a stay at home mom!
LOL! I know right?
