Dear Snowboard & Ski Cross, You two are my new favorite Olympic sports. At any second, every single person in that race could crash and usually, at least one person does which makes it so exciting. I need this to be on my tv more often.
Dear Team USA Hockey, I am looking forward to the game today. I hope it doesn’t end up like the Women’s team game yesterday ended yesterday because that was awful.
Dear Target Clearance, I never did make it to my favorite store for the Valentine’s clearance, but I think I did a pretty good job. And I am already pumped for Easter!
Dear Me, Go to bed earlier.
Dear WB, Please assist me in my goal of trying to go to bed earlier. This croupy cough and that little trip to Urgent Care early yesterday morning is not helping me in accomplishing my goal. Let’s kick this cough back to where it came from!
Dear Baxter and Buddy, You two are in rare form this week. Is it because your Dad gave you both haircuts this week and you look kind of silly? Are you mad at us?
Dear L, I am sorry we didn’t get to do anything spectacular for Winter Break. I mean, not that going to Target isn’t super fun, but still. I promise we will go skiing another weekend!
Dear Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, You two are awesome. Someone hire them to cover every sporting event ever.
Dear Starbucks, I will see you in a few minutes. I might even get a Venti instead of a Grande today.
and finally..
Dear Grandma Dorothy, Thanks for being such a great Grandma to all of us all these years! We were so lucky to have such an amazing lady in our lives.
I went to two stores yesterday that are not my favorite and picked up a couple more valentine boxes and some candy but nothing fabulous. I am happy with what I got this time around though and ready for the next round of fun. 🙂
I never made it out again yesterday. On to Easter!
I’m sorry for your loss!
Thank you!
So sorry about your Grandma 🙁 You definitely deserve a Venti today.
THank you. And I totally enjoyed that coffee today!
Thoughts with you during this time. It can be so painful to let go of those we love. Thank goodness for memories, that we might have roses in the Decembers of our lives.
I absolutely love your blog. You appear to live life to the fullest and truly have such a beautiful life with your boys. You are an awesome mom and I am not sure how you find time to get everything done that you do! I am new to the blogging world and it takes me like an hour to write one blog entry, yet yours appear seemingly effortlessly multiple times throughout the day. I appreciate hearing your thoughts, what inspires you, makes you happy, etc. Thanks for sharing your voice with the world.
Aww, thank you for the kind words! I stay up pretty late and blog, but I do totally enjoy it!
Totally thought of one of your earlier blog posts about Olympic athletes when I came across this article! It talks about how the majority of them do need day to day jobs because they don’t have the multi-million dollar sponsorships. http://blogs.wsj.com/atwork/2014/02/21/olympian-by-day-hotel-valet-by-night/
Ohhh interesting! Thank you!
Uggh I am SO upset about the hockey right now. :(((
;(
You mirror me on so much this Friday. Loving snowboarding and snow cross and the way they all hug each other and genuinely seem happy that their friends got medals. The only thing that’s getting me through todays hockey is that A) there are still two Sharks players playing on Canadas team and B) I picked Canada for my Olympic pool. Tara and Johnny? Best. Duo. Ever. Did not make it to Target clearance. Need more sleep. Must get Venti Starbucks.
Dear Olympic Pool: I kicked butt on your first three or four days and have actually been in the lead ever since until…today. Please do not forsake me. Please give me the points so that I may become victorious and be the gold medal winner in the Olympic pool and win the coveted Sochi Watch that is the grand prize. And if it does go to a tiebreaker, please make my entry into the “Putin Special World Leader Shirtless Ski Jumping” be the winner! (and for those that will ask…my submission was the female prime minister of Norway because A) Norway is winning everything anyway and B) my husband said a shirtless female world leader would probably bring about world peace).
Sorry about your Grandmother 🙁
That is this Olympics pool you speak of? That sounds fun! And Tara and Johnny? OMG love.
I got a big heart shaped box of chocolate at Target for 50 cents because there was no price on the package and the cashier didn’t want to bother looking for it. LOL
Perfect!!!
Love Tara and Johnny!!! They are the best!
Love them!
