Although I get a lot of boxes, I am always excited to hear that I have been picked to receive one of the Influenster VoxBox boxes! This one was the J’Adore VoxBox and was a little Valentine’s treat from Influenster!
If you aren’t familiar with Influenster, it is a free-to-join community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences. They invite members to sample their “VoxBox” programs, totally free of charge in exchange for sharing honest opinions in via reviews and on special media. You don’t need to have a blog to be eligible or anything like that. Anyone can sign-up!
I got the notification that I had been selected for this last week sometime and the box itself appeared on Valentine’s Day! I love that I didn’t have to wait long for it.
Based on the quiz that you fill out when they”pre-select” you for this box, you can generally get a pretty good idea of whats in the box. Of course, you don’t know for sure until it comes, but I had an idea of what to expect.
Just like with most subscription boxes, VoxBox sends an information card with product details, etc. You are required to take a survey on your box and can, if you wish, blog about it, instagram it, tweet about it, etc. to help you earn more points, but again, only the quiz is necessary! Here is what the Influenster J’adore VoxBox contained:
~Boots Botanics Shine Away Iconic Clay Mask ($9.39): I used this once so far and liked it. I am trying to make it a priority to better take care of my skin (really just ME in general) this year, so this was nice. I thought it made my skin feel smoother, but I’m not sure that you can really see a real change after just one use from any product.
~Hershey’s KISSES Milk Chocolates ($5.29): Who doesn’t love Hershey KISSES? No seriously, who doesn’t? My mom was over when this box arrived and was jealous of the giant bag I received. I’ll be using these for little treats here and there and then to make Hershey Kiss Cookies (aka Peanut Butter Blossoms) which I love!
~Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray ($9.99): My hair is super straight (like I’ve actually had people ask me if I straighten it) so I don’t need this item and will be passing it along to a friend. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have thick or curly or just some something to my hair that I would need this. Heck, I sometimes have trouble getting it to keep a curl with a curling iron!
~KISS Looks So Natural Lashes ($3.99): I am going to test these, but only for purposes of a review. LOL! And to see if B even notices that I have them on. He may or may not.
~Red Rose Simple Indulgent Teas ($0.90): I think I will add this one to B’s tea stash (instead of my cousin’s) so he can try these out. I am somewhat tempted to try the caramel tea, but I would be a horrible judge at if it were good or not.
~Vaseline Men Spray Lotion ($7.99): On the day that this box arrived, B just happened to ask if we got any “good” mail that day. I mean really B? We get amazing mail every day! I think he was excited to get his own product from one of my boxes just for him to test out, so he considered it a “good” mail day too!
Since this box was free (again all you need to do is use the products for a while and leave honest reviews at Influenster), I don’t need to do a cost breakdown on it. It’s obviously worth it!
Have you ever gotten an Influenster VoxBox? I’m not too sure if there is a wait to sign up right now (anyone know?), but if you are dying for an invite leave your e-mail here and I will see if I can match you up with someone who has invites to give! There’s no guarantee if / when you will get a VoxBox, but it’s totally worth a shot!
