Spring 2014 Yuzen
Spring 2014 Yuzen

Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box, but switched to quarterly last year, which I like even better.

The Box

Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrived nice and quickly.  I like that Yuzen ships their seasonal boxes well ahead of the season so you don’t feel rushed to use everything.

The Box in the Box

Inside the outer Yuzen box is the actual Yuzen box.  When someone asks for a recommendation for a gift subscription / box, one of my first suggestions is generally Yuzen.  Everything always comes so beautifully packaged and it’s easily ready to be gifted.

First Look
All Packaged Up

I don’t know if I ripped my organza bag because I was so excited to tear it out of the box or if it was already torn.  But as you can see, everything is packaging beautifully and I always love the papers they use (Yuzen is actually a “Colorful hand-dyeing technique where each pattern is drawn by hand, creating often one of a kind, or very limited production pieces.”).

The Information Card

The Spring 2014 Yuzen box didn’t have a theme, but included the following products:

~Acure Organics Radical Resurfacing Facial Treatment ($14.28): I tested this out quickly and liked it well enough, but it would take a few weeks for me really to be able to see any difference in it.

Acure Organics Radical Resurfacing Facial Treatment

~Balances Guru Balm Me Up ($3): This could not have come at a better time.  My elbows (well one of them) is so dry and nothing I having is fixing it.  It’s suppose to work on hard-to-soften places, so fingers crossed!

Balances Guru Balm Me Up

~Chocolate Cherries and Almonds Chocolate Bar ($1.42): I am biased because this is made from Michigan Cherries, but I thought this was delicious. I have tried the orange chocolate bar from this brand as well, but I think I like this one better ;).

Chocolate Cherries and Almonds Chocolate Bar

~Lotuswei Infinite Love Mist ($8.33): This is to be sprayed on your pillow, sheets, in your office, etc. to “attract and experience unconditional love for yourself and others”.  I am not sure I thought that when I sprayed this, but I am always up for a good smelling house.

Lotuswei Infinite Love Mist

~Sranrom Urban Wellness Calm Down Hand Cream ($4.80): I didn’t necessarily love the smell of this hand cream, but it does work and my hands felt softer (without being greasy) right away.

Sranrom Urban Wellness Calm Down Hand Cream

~Sranrom The Mindful Living Compassion Candle (~$7): This smells beautiful and I don’t think you can tell from my picture, but the glass is etched so the votive is makes the candle even prettier.

~sumbody Bath Fizzers ($5.95): I really need to take more baths.  I always get the most fabulous sounding products and rarely use them (B uses them instead). I need to make use of that tub we have!

sumbody Bath Fizzers

~sumbody BathMelt ($5.50): Another cool bath product.  It’s suppose to help moisturize and soothe skin, plus help you feel relaxed.  I will use one of these two, I will!

sumbody BathMelt

~ESSIO Aromotheraphy Shower Kit: This was on the information card, but isn’t an actual product in the box.  It’s a 20% off coupon code good on their site.

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.28 for the Spring 2014 Yuzen Box! Boxes are $33/quarter and, as always, I loved this box.  It’s an awesome box to get quarterly because you never have too much stuff from it and are always anxious to get it again!
