Wantable, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates and jewelry boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund.

The Box

Wantable ships via USPS First Class Mail and my box took only two days to arrive.  Wantable is just a state away from me (they are in WI and I am in MI) so I never have to wait too long.

First Look

The first look was a bit of a mixed bag.  I was very excited about a few things and kind of curious about one of the items in the box.

Preferences

Like I mentioned before, you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you love and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing. I finally changed my preferences around and now the only thing I dislike is eyeliner.

The Information Card

The April 2014 Wantable box is all about natural beauty combined with bold color.  Featured brands this month include Tini Beauty, MiA BelleZZa and Chella!  I want to mention that this doesn’t necessarily mean that you will receive these brands in your box.  Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.  It all just depends.  Anyway, here is what I received in my box:

~FACE Stockholm Nail Polish (Want-A-Blue) ($12): Love this!  Don’t tell B another polish has entered this house though.  He doesn’t give me a hard time about any of the boxes I receive or anything, but when he sees new nail polish even he has to shake his head.  But I love it.  This is a pretty spring color and reminds me of a Robin’s egg.

FACE Stockholm Nail Polish (Want-A-Blue)

~Glam Natural Lip Cream (Drop Dead Gorgeous) ($20):  This is “a bright, raspberry hue with hints of violet shimmer” and I think it’s, well, gorgeous.  The color is perfect, it’s not sticky and it goes on nice and smooth.  A total score for me.

Glam Natural Lip Cream (Drop Dead Gorgeous)

~Cailyn Cosmetics Built-In-Sponge Tip Mineral Eyeshadow Mink ($15): Well this is fun.  At first I thought it was (another) polish, but it’s actually a super cool eyeshadow.  It’s got a built in applicator so it’s not messy and travels well.

~Rainbow Honey Nail Lacquer (Hanami) ($10):  Yep, this is fabulous too.  I’ll wear it over one of the other fun pink colors I have (probably a darker pink or raspberry) instead of just on it’s own, but I don’t see how you can go wrong with pink glitter.  I mean you just can’t.  Oh, and B, it’s not my fault polishes keep coming ;).

Rainbow Honey Nail Lacquer (Hanami)

~Sorme Believable Bronzer (Sunkissed) ($21.99): This is the item I was curious about from the first look since I knew I had just received it last month.  This shade is darker than the March one so it’s not totally the same, but still.  I will certainly use it though (eventually) so it’s not a and thing.  I just would have preferred something I hadn’t just received.

Sorme Believable Bronzer (Sunkissed)

All totaled I came up with a value of $78.99 for my April 2014 Wantable Box.  Had I not just received the same bronzer last month this might have been my favorite Wantable (makeup) box to date!  Even with the repeat it was still pretty darn fabulous.  And of course, the value is there on these boxes because Wantable boxes start at $36/month!
