February 2014 Silly Rhino Box
February 2014 Silly Rhino Box

Silly Rhino, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box suitable for babies ages 0-4. Each month they include only 4-5 of the the safest, environmentally conscious and highest quality products. Items made include toys, personal care items, accessories and gear.  I opted for a 2-3 year-old box for WB, who turns two pretty soon.

The Box

The February 2014 Silly Rhino box shipped via FedEx.  Future boxes will be shipping via USPS, however, since there was a bit of a supplier delay this month they opted go the FedEx route so subscribers would receive their boxes more quickly.  I actually did receive this in February – I am just playing catch up on my reviews.

FIrst Look

I’d seem a few spoilers for Silly Rhino, but I couldn’t remember right away which age group I’d chosen for WB, so I wasn’t totally sure what I would be receiving.

Second First Look

The real first look was amazing and revealed a bunch of amazing goodies that, not only do we not already know, but that I have never even seen before!

The Information Card

Silly Rhino has done away with monthly themes which allows them not to be constrained by the theme and to offer wider range of toys and other products for your children.  Here is what we received in WB’s box (which again is for a 2-3 year-old):

~Shoe Accessory by Shwings ($8.95):  There is no question that L is going to steal these away from WB.  It’s actually totally perfect because WB doesn’t own any tie shoes yet (plus he has the smallest little feet ever so these would be huge on his shoes), and L will love love love these and they will look on awesome on his new tie shoes.

~Stacking Puzzle by Manhattan Toy ($15): WB has been really into puzzles lately, but I think I am going to save this one for his birthday for him.  And I didn’t realize it, but the pieces of these are interchangeable with their other animal puzzles, which is super cool because I think they’d like to make a crazy mixed up animal been more!

~Lip Balm by Kiss My Face ($3.49): You know I put this on as soon as I opened the box.  I can never get enough lip balm and I have never tried Kiss My Face before!  It smells great and I’d try more of the flavors.

~20-Piece Puzzle by Eeboo ($6): Love the artwork on this puzzle and I think this is another one that I will be saving for his birthday!

~My Pet Toy and Book Set by Hape ($9.99):  Ahh, I couldn’t love this more.  WB still loves doggies and this is just the cutest little set.  It’s almost like the story was written about WB and his pet puppy (well puppies).

~Disposable Compressed Wipes by Green Sprouts ($3): I have never seen such a product! They are compressed wipes that expand when exposed to moisture.  I am throwing this in my bag right bow and will be buying more refills asap!

All totaled I came up with a value of $46.43 for the February 2014 Silly Rhino Box.  Boxes are $35.99/month and decrease in price with a longer subscription.  As always I loved my Silly Rhino box and loved that they introduced me to so many new things this month!
