MonthlyExpress, who kindly send me this gift box to review, is a monthly collection of high end luxury products with a boutique feel from all around the world. Each month’s shipment is a distinctly different experience of discovery and enjoyment, with just one commonality: all of them are curated and fit for the most luxurious of palates. I received the February 2014 collection yesterday, so if you missed that one, you can check it out here.
MonthlyExpress ships via USPS Priority Mail and just like with the February collection, I could not get open this up quickly enough.
The packaging on this collection is insanely beautiful. Inside the shipping package is the MonthlyExpress gift box wrapped in an organza bow. Both boxes are very sturdy and I don’t think you’d ever have to worry about them getting damaged in shipment. Mine arrived looking perfect.
The MonthlyExpress collection could be easily gifted as is or just considered a gift to yourself! It’s full of higher end products and the whole thing just feels like an indulgence.
I almost squealed when I got the first peek. It was like this box was created just for me. I was in love already.
I almost forgot to take a picture of the January 2014 MonthlyExpress information card, so forgive the not so fabulous picture. The collection “New Year, New Luxuriating Products” and included exquisite items to start your year off right. Here is what was included:
~Verbena Authentique Hand Cream by Lothantique ($24): Not only does this smell amazing, it made my hands feel amazing too. Super luxurious and totally needed with our never ending winter (I have gone through more hand cream in the last few months than in the last few years).
~Woodland Truffle Classic Candle by NEST Fragrances ($34): I love the NEST brand and their lines and was very excited to see this candle when I opened the box. They are a splurge and are well worth it. This probably isn’t a scent I’d pick up on my own, but it’s a nice change from my normal “bakery” scents.
~Olive Complex Foot Care Cream by Erbario Toscano ($24): This Italian foot cream is designed to soften, refresh and even help with swelling for those who work on their feet for an extended period of time. It’s fabulous and I look forward to using it every night!
~Butter All Over by Rica ($36): I picked this up and thought maybe I got an empty jar or something? Nope, it’s just the lightest, fluffiest shea butter cream ever. It can even be used in your hair and is nothing short of amazing. I already want more and I am no where close to being finished with this jar.
~Belle De Nuit Eye Masque by Branche ($42): I was under the impression that eye masks were just to help you sleep better, however, this one is lined with 18 amino acids which aid in the repair and rejuvenation of your skin while you sleep. Who even knew such a thing existed?
~Torrie & Howard Organic Hard Candy: These aren’t listed on the information card, so I don’t include them in the value. But they are delicious and both B and I enjoy these.
All totaled I came up with a value of $160 for the January 2014 MonthlyExpress collection. Collections are $129/month, and, as you can see, the curation on these is amazing. This box was total “ME Time” and I felt beyond spoiled with this one. Again, B, this would make an amazing birthday gift for me. And really a fabulous gift for anyone on your list you want to spoil!
