Fair Treasure, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.

The Box

FAIR treasure ships via USPS First Class Mail and typically arrives within the first week of the month.  This month was a tad mater than normal, but not much.

First Look

Ohh, this box looked like nothing I had ever received from FAIR Treasure before.  I was for sure excited to see what that pink thing was!

The Information Card

The March 2014 FAIR Treasure box was deemed “The Spring Equinox Box”.  I don’t believe that they have ever done a themed box before, but I am liking it.  This box includes the following items to help us look forward to Spring:

~Archana Handicrafts Shesham Butterfly Box ($7): This box, is carved out of Shesham, which is a hard, dark wood that grows in the foothills of Northern India.  I think I am going to use this for B’s collar stays or cufflinks or something along those lines!

~Malia Designs Wristlet ($29): Malia Designs was formed to increase economic opportunity for women in Cambodia and to help fight human trafficking in Southeast Asia.  I don’t know if I am going to use this as a wristlet or maybe just as a cosmetics case for traveling.  I love the tagline that it’s designed to “Carry the Cause”.

All totaled I came up with a value of $36 (subscriptions start at $30/month) for the March 2014 FAIR treasure box!  I love that they did a theme this month and hope that it continues because I would love to see what else they come up with in future months.

My bag is a different color than yours. I love the butterfly box, and it stands on end too so it can be displayed that way.

Did you get a blue bag??? I saw that one and thought it was gorgeous.

      1. Tammy

Yes, mine is blue and grey. It feels sturdy too.

I really like this month’s box. The butterfly box is really pretty and all the detail makes for an impressive trinket box. The bag is super cute and looks like it’s a fairly good size.. Both really usable items

Totally usable! I am always so impressed the skill it takes to carve wood. Such amazing detail.
