Yay! My much (and I do mean much) anticipated March 2014 GLOSSYBOX arrived yesterday! Ever since I heard the spoilers for this one I have been so excited to get it.
GLOSSYBOX is $21/month and sends you five luxury surprise beauty items to your door every month. I am a huge GLOSSYBOX fan and have been a subscriber for over a year now. The values of their boxes are always amazing and they have introduced me to a ton of products along the way.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and seems to be shipping in batches. Some subscribers got their boxes early last week, but mine didn’t arrive until yesterday and I know that some people’s haven’t shipped yet.
I always save all my GLOSSYBOX boxes because they are just “too good” to throw away. I use them to hold makeup I gift to friends and lately I have been using them to store overflow nail polish.
You can’t really tell anything from the GLOSSYBOX first looks, but it does show how nicely they package their boxes. I remember how impressed I was when I received my first box from them and I am still impressed now.
Ahh, I loved it! Great first look!! I knew right away I would be enjoying this box.
The March 2014 GLOSSYBOX doesn’t have a theme, but they partnered with Alex and Ani this month, which is what had me so excited for this box. Here is what was included:
~Alex and Ani Scent 7 Body Mist ($18): This scent has “been created with the four elemental energies of earth, air, fire and water” and is suppose to encourage “emotional balance along with a sense of ease and comfort to the body and mind”. It’s a stronger scent than I expected it to be so I don’t think I’ll use it as a body spray, but I could use some balance, so I’ll use it as a room spray.
~Alterna Haircare BAMBOO Volume Plumping Strand Expand ($4.45): This helps to add volume to your hair from the root to tip. I really still need to get a haircut, so I think I will hold off on this until I really can tell if it works.
~Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel ($17.86): I wouldn’t buy this on my own, but I tried it right away to see if I could tell the difference. It’s suppose to remove dead cells and refine the surface skin. I couldn’t notice a difference when I looked in the mirror, but my lips felt tingly after? Maybe that means it’s doing something?
~Nails Inc. Brook Street Nail Polish ($3.75): I am a complete sucker for tiny little bottles of nail polish and this is no exception. Plus it’s a fun Spring color!
~Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask ($28.59): No, seriously, this sample is valued at $28. The full size mask is 2.1oz. and is $158. No matter how fabulous this mask is (and fine I will admit it’s fabulous) I will not buy the full size! Although, I do suppose it’s cheaper than a face lift. Right??
Bonus Item: Alex and Ani Charm Bangle ($28): This is probably my favorite item in the box and it’s the bonus item! It’s no secret I love these (I have given them away in a few giveaways) and I was already browsing for more last night.
All totaled I came up with a value of $100.65 for the March 2014 GLOSSYBOX and I loved it Fabulous!. The box is $21/month, however I subscribed during some promotion so I pay only $17.85/month which is a steal. Honestly they could have put just the bangle in the box and I would have been happy!
