March 2014 Julep Box + Add-Ons
March 2014 Julep Box + Add-Ons

My March 2014 Julep Maven Box arrived today and I am pleased to report that once again, I did NOT go for the full collection! I did, however, get some add-ons (three polishes to be exact), so I guess I didn’t have that much willpower after all.

The Box

Julep boxes ship via USPS First Class Mail. I believe that if you upgrade to a full collection it ships via USPS Priority Mail. And Mystery Boxes and regular ship purchases ship via DHL Global Mail. My box took about 3-4 days to make it’s way to me, which wasn’t long at all.

First Look

I’m not sure why, but I couldn’t recall what my Julep selection was this month.  It’s only been like two weeks, but had no idea. It’s clearly been a long two weeks around here!  I actually had to look at my order confirmation to see which polishes were from the collection I selected and which were from my add-ons.

The Information Card

Julep’s March 2014 collection is “The Riviera Collection” and seems to be all about getting you ready for a winter getaway!  I opted for the Boho Glam collection and received the following:

~Julep Elisa ($14 / $11.20): Elisa is a soft wisteria shimmer and felt very Easter / Spring’ish to me.  It’s possible I have a color very similar, but since I haven’t organized by color yet, I am not sure.  I know I like this though!

~Julep Harriet ($14 / $11.20): Harriet is a guava coral crème and I love it. I think it’s a tad darker than any corals I own which I really like about it.

Julep Harriet

~Julep Lip Gloss – Fearless ($20 / $16):  I opted for the lip gloss in Fearless which is a sheer silvery pink shimmer, with Power Cell Complex.  I don’t know that I totally understand the difference between this gloss and their other gloss, but I liked it.

I also opted for the following Add-Ons:

~Julep Tania ($14 / $11.20):  Do you really think there was a chance that I could pass up this multdimensional mermaid teal glitter?  I think not.  It’s so gorgeous that I can’t even stand it.

Add-On: Julep Tania

~Julep Lizanne ($14 / $11.20): Since I got the glitter above, I pretty much had to order Lizanne which is a sea green shimmer.  I mean, what am I going to wear under the glitter one ;)?

Add-On: Julep Lizanne

~Julep Rae ($14 / $11.20): My entire reason for this add-on was because Rae, a radiant orchid crème, is a Pantone® 2014 Color of the Year.  Plus I feel like the Julep’s with the silver caps (you can’t see it here but it has one) are extra special polishes.  I am hoping I am not alone in this.

Add-On: Julep Rae

The two on the left are from the Boho Collection and the three on the right are the Add-Ons that I opted in for.

All the Polishes

All totaled, not including my Add-Ons, my March 2014 Julep Maven “Classic With A Twist” box had a value of $48 (or $38.40 if you are using Maven pricing)! The box itself was $19.95, so even with Maven pricing, the value was double the cost of the box.

What was your favorite color (or product) in the box this month and what collection did you opt for?  Did you get any add-ons?  If you are interested in signing up, or just want to learn more, click here.  And, as always, you can use code “FREEBOX” to score your first box FREE (you pay shipping which I think is $3.99).  If you want to see if how you like the Julep colors / formulas, this is the best way!
