March 2014 Munch Box by Candy Kid

Munch Box by Candy Kid, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly surprise candy subscription box filled with candies that are funny, foreign, healthy, classic, and new. Each box contains 5-7 items from categories such as “The Geek”, “Health Nut”, “Newbie” and “Old School”. You will also receive their “Munch Bag” which is 1 serving of every bulk candy item in their collection.

The Package

Munch Box ships via USPS Priority Mail.   They ship on the 7th of the month and billing occurs monthly on the date which you originally signed up.

The Box

How cure are these boxes?  I’d never seen a Munch Box before so I didn’t know what to expect, but I was impressed by the box.

First Look

I knew right away when I opened this that L would love it.  It all looked totally kid like and I’ll admit it, I kind of loved it too.  There was no information card included, but here is what was inside:

~Sour Flush Candy Plunger with Sour Powder Dip ($1.65):  Candy in a toilet?  Yeah, they know what kids like!  I am saving this for a special treat for L.  Perhaps on a day that it’s nice out and he can run around outside after to burn off some of this sugar!

~Wondermade S’Mores Marshmallows ($7.95):  We have received these before, but we have yet to make actual s’mores with them.  I really really want to though and I hope we can soon!

~Lenny and Larry’s The Complete Cookie – Chocolate Chip ($2): For having no eggs and no dairy, this cookie is pretty good.  I don’t know that I would pick it over like a Mrs. Fields cookie or something, but I did like it a lot.

~Zotz Lemon and Orange Candies ($1): OMG, I have never had a Zotz before and it started off well.  Okay, it’s just an orange flavored candy.  Umm, no, it’s not.  It’s got a fizzy sour center that I was not expecting.  Neither was L!  We were both quite surprised!

~Cadbury Crunchie ($1.39): Yum!!  I always love Cadbury chocolates and was excited to see this in the box!  This is another special treat I am saving for L who will he happy to get his hands on it I am sure.

~Bulk Candy Bag ($9.95):  The “munch bag” which is included in your Munch Box but can also be purchased as a separate subscription for $9.95, includes one scoop of every bulk candy in their online shop.  B and I went straight for the peach rings which are probably my favorite bulk candy out there!

All totaled I came up with a value of $23.94 for the March 2014 Munch Box by Candy Kid, which is just shy of the $25/month price tag on this one.  I thought it was a great assortment of items though and look forward to seeing what they do in future months!
