Today was an amazing mail day (it’s been an amazing mail week actually) and one of the boxes we received today was our April 2014 BarkBox!
If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs! Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout, head product tester for BarkBox. We’ve been getting for nearly two years and are quite happy with it.
BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail and took around six days to arrive this month. Not a long time, but not super fast either. About normal.
Ohh, the first look was great! The box was packed full and everything looked fun and the colors were great!
The April 2014 BarkBox was all about getting outside! The box included the following items to help your dog get off the couch and enjoy Spring:
~Quaker Pet Group Elephant ($10.99): Love this! It’s good for playing tug of war with the dogs and it’s super super cute. I think this will be a new favorite. WB saw it and liked it, so basically if WB likes it, the dogs like it.
~Complete Natural Nutrition Off-Leash Treats ($5.99): Baxter and Buddy said these were delicious. Well, maybe they didn’t say it, but I could tell. They had a busy afternoon of playing outside and loving snacking on these when they came in.
~Etta Says Duck Meat Treats ($9.49): These have always been a hit around here as well! They are made from USA sourced ducks and are perfect for pups with grain or protein allergies.
~Mr. Barksmith’s Carrot Cake Smoothie ($1.49): Love these! I am saving this for a hot summer day for the curries. They love these and their tails go CRAZY when they see them!
~Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick ($2.50): And, as usual, a Barkworthies! We get one every month and the dogs love them, but well, we get one every month. Then again, they do love them.
All totaled I came up with a value of $30.46 for April 2014 BarkBox. I wouldn’t say it was our favorite month ever, but it’s all going to get used and not one thing will go to waste which is important!!
Do you subscribe to BarkBox? What’d you think of this month’s box? If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here. A monthly subscription is $29/month, but if you opt for a longer subscription, the price drops as low as $18/month (that’s what I get)! And you can use the code “RAMBLING” save 15% off ANY subscription plan which would make it an even better deal!
My fur kids just got their first Barkbox today! It was completely different than yours though. I thought I picked small, but maybe I went with medium dog…
What’d you get?
They got a squeaky dinosaur, a teaser ball, and three different snacks. I’m going to review it hopefully tomorrow on my blog http://www.amateuratlarge.blogspot.com
Having some trouble getting my photos to sync. Grrrr technology.
My dogs love the Cool Treats smoothies as well! I loved seeing them in this box even if have sent them before. Those and the Barkwortheries are always big wins for us because the dogs just love them so much!
My dogs LOVE the Cool Treats!!! And I think our Barkworthies is already gone too.
Love the pink elephant! We got an orange alien with long legs. We got another bully stick too, only it was about a foot long so I had to cut it in half. I don’t think Waffles minds, as she loves them! I see that Baxter is still rocking that bow tie. He’s too cute for words!
Here’s our BarkBox
Baxter LOVES that bow tie. he is always down for playing dress up.
Wow! My pup and I just got our box over the weekend and it was so different from yours. I wish we got smokey beef flavored treats. My Mako is allergic to chicken, so we can only give our treats to him a tiny bit at a time.
I wonder if you could email them and see if they could note that??
I don’t think so. =[ I called before to ask if there was any way they could note it and the woman on the phone said no. She did mention that they should be rotating the type of meat, so we shouldn’t be getting chicken again for a while.
