Googaro

Googaro, who kindly sent me this box to review, arrived today! is a monthly subscription box for babies 0-3 years of age. Each month Googaro sends selects mom-approved items for you and baby straight to your door. You’ll receive some of their favorite finds including toys, books, snacks, and household products.
Googaro shipped via DHL this month and took just about a week to arrive. Last month they shipped via USPS Priority Mail, so I don’t know if this was just a test with DHL to see how they liked it or if this is the new way. I, of course like Priority Mail better but I am sure this is a nice savings for them.
I hadn’t seen any spoilers for this month’s box, but I was hoping it would include at least a few thing I could put in his Easter basket or give to him for this birthday.
Googaro doesn’t have a monthly theme, however, they have a fabulous information card with pictures, descriptions and prices. I wasn’t sure if this is the 1-2 year-old box or the 2-3 year old box, but then I looked on the information card and saw the “1-2 Years” printed on the side. I have never noticed this before and totally answered my question! Here is what was included:
~Bumkins Wet / Dry Bag ($14.95): I have a few of these, but this is by far my favorite pattern of the bunch! And when you are on vacation or at the splash pad in the summer you need these!
~Kandoo Travel Pack Wipes ($4.37): I have read way too many articles about flushable wipes, so we won’t be flushing these at our house, but we can always always use wipes. My kids are going to be teenagers and I swear I am going to be wiping these faces with baby wipes.
~Interactive Kids Soft Shape Puzzle ($12.99): This set includes 8 different puzzle which are perfect for the bathtub. This is headed straight in WB’s Easter Basket and will be awesome in the tub. I am always looking for new bathtub toys that don’t get all moldy and nasty and this fits the bill!
~Happy Yogis Organic Fruit ($3.59): Another Easter basket item! WB loves these and I don’t buy them a ton because they disappear so quickly (and aren’t cheap). He’ll be thrilled!
~Baudelaire Essence Soap Bar ($5): The subscription box world wants me to use bar soap and drink tea don’t they? Ha! I know own both a soap dish and a soap sack, so bar soap is much more appealing to me.
All totaled I came up with a value of $40.90 for the April 2014 Googaro box! Not the most exciting Googaro ever, but very usable for sure! Did you get a Googaro box this month? What’d you think? And if you got a different age group box (they do 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years), what was in it?
If you are interested in learning more or signing up, click here. Googaro starts at $35/month, but you can use the coupon code “APRIL20” to save 20% off your ENTIRE subscription! That would bring the cost of an annual subscription down to $25.67/month which is a great deal! Or if you are new to Googaro and just want to try one month, you can head over to Plum District (for the next few days anyway) and get your first box for only $20 (a $35 value)!
