I mentioned yesterday morning that I didn’t think my April 2014 ipsy My Glam bag had shipped yet.  Turns out it had because it appeared in my mailbox yesterday.  I looked back in my e-mail and sure enough, I received tracking on it on the 10th.

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products.

The Bag

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail and took only 6 days to arrive this month.  That is super fast for them and I wish it were like this every month!

The Information Card

The April 2014 ipsy My Glam Bag theme was “Beauty Rocks”.  There were 16 different items that could have arrived in your ipsy bag this month and each subscriber received five of them I believe. The April Bags included the following products will help your lovely look become a hit!:

~Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm (Apple Pink) ($19):  Yay!  I love this!  It’s such a cool design (it’s got a brush in the top part) and while it’s just easier to use your finger, I still like it.  I do need to mix this with a bit of clear gloss though to make it go on nicer.

~Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil (Travel Size) ($15): I feel like I have gotten this somewhere before? I will be passing this on to a friend who will enjoy it since I don’t really do eyeliner.  At least not very often.

~Demeter Jasime Perfume Roll On ($10): This seems bigger than the previous Demeter roll-ons I have received.  Maybe it’s just the new packaging that makes it look larger?  Either way, I am in love with this scent.  It’s perfect for Spring and reminds me of being outside.

~dr. brandt microdermabrasion ($9.75): LOVE this!  If I could just get a tube of this every month I would be all set and would never have to buy a full sized one.  So far I am doing okay ;).  I think I got this one before, and B’s gotten it once before!  I really do think it works and since the odds of me getting a professional face treatment are slim, I’ll stick with this.

~Elizabeth Mott pop! Goes the Shadow (Champagne) ($12): This color is totally perfect for me, but I have so much shadow (not ipsy’s fault though) that I may end up trading or gifting this to a friend.

~The Bag ($2): Love the shape of this one. It’s bigger than the normal ones and the pattern is like nothing they have ever done.

Bonus Item
~Tokyomilk Dark Lip Elixir 36 (Salted Caramel) & 42 (La Vie En Rose) ($7/each): This was the bonus gift this month for referral points / review points. I was under the impression that you just got one of the lip elixirs when you redeemed your points and I was happy with that. And maybe just one of them was suppose to be included. I don’t know, but when two of them appeared in the ipsy mailer I felt like I won the lottery. And one of them is Salted Caramel? Stop it. It really does smell like salted caramel. It’s fabulous. I now want to try every scent. And I probably will. These are huge tins and I am thrilled!

Bonus Item: Tokyomilk Dark 36 & 42

All totaled I came up with a value of $67.75 for the April 2014 ipsy MyGlam Bag!  And that doesn’t even include the two bonus items which would add an additional $14 to that total.  I thought this month’s ipsy was fabulous and I think this was $10 well spent!  I may not love everything in the bag, but I will find a home for it all and for $10?  Come on, that’s insanity!!!

Did you get this month’s ipsy bag? What variations did you get? And what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or interested in learning more, click here.  Does anyone know what the waiting list is like these days?  Any tips on skipping it?
