April 2014 PijonBox

PijonBox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box geared towards college students. Each PijonBox includes 5-6 products selected just for college students (subscriptions are customized by male and female – I got the female) and contain a value of $30-$50 per box.

The Box

My PijonBox shipped via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive. You can upgrade to FedEx Ground for a few dollars more if you want it to arrive faster. As long as you know how long Smart Post takes, I think it’s waiting is just fine.

First Look

I was instantly excited when I opened the box.  I knew no matter what else was in it, it was going to be a winner for me.

The Information Card

The April 2014 PijonBox was all about Kicking Up Your Spring Fashion and included the following items:

~Bombas Sock Collection ($27): OMG love.  B has a few pairs of these from one of his Birchbox boxes and I have always been jealous of them.  No seriously.  Plus, I am in constant need of socks.  Constant need.  It’s insane how quickly I lose or destroy them.  Don’t be surprised if these make my Best of the Boxes for April!

~Inlet Nectar Customizable Sunglasses ($20):  I also love these!  Totally fun, but not overly funky or crazy.  These are something I would pick up from one of those sunglass street vendors because they are so fun.

~Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars ($2): Everyone in this house loves these and it will be a battle to see who can get to them first! I hope I win ;).  If you haven’t tried them I totally recommend them.

~La Fresh Travel-Lite Antibacterial Wipes ($2.49): These are headed straight in my bag!  The kids get into so much and anything I can do to make things a little less germ is good.  I am not a total germ freak, but even I will wipe down certain things (hotel remote controls to name one).

All totaled I came up with a value of $51.49 for the April 2014 PijonBox for her and dare I say that it’s my favorite PijonBox to date?  I am not college student but I remember being one (even though it was a long time ago) and I would have enjoyed each and every one of these things even then! Boxes are $29/month and are even less if you purchase a longer subscription.

What do you think of PijonBox? Did you get a box this month?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn a little more, click here.  I should mention that just like many college students, PijonBox takes the summer off.  As of right now, their next box will ship the end of April and then they will resume service in early September. However, if there is enough interest they will look into sending summer care packages out, so if that’s something you are interested in, make sure to let them know!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
