Yay! My April Stitch Fix is here! I have Stitch Fix set up on monthly deliveries because I don’t like to have to deal with scheduling my fixes and they always come nice and early in the month.

If you aren’t familiar, Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. You provide your style, size, and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. There is a $20 styling fee that is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. And if you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

The Box

My fix shipped via FedEx this month and took five days to arrive. Not bad at all. Stitch Fix ships from San Francisco, so if you live on the West Coast I am sure it arrives more quickly.

First Look

As usual, I peeked in my account to see what was coming, but it only lists the names of the items and doesn’t include pictures. So you have an idea of what’s coming, but you really don’t know the colors or patterns of things.

Second First Look

Clearly things were off to a good start and I knew I’d be keeping at least one thing!!!

The Information Sheet

Stitch Fix comes with an information card which includes a listing of everything in the box, prices, and then a total of how much everything would be if you kept everything in the box (it deducts your $20 styling fee and the 25% discount for keeping all of your items).  Just to give you an idea, my box had a merchandise total of $374 and had I kept everything, I would have had to pay $260.50 (plus my $20 styling fee).  In comparison, my Fix from last month would have been $219.50 to keep everything.  Here is what I received:

~Emily Lightweight Chevron Infinity Scarf ($32):  Ohh, I love!  Not a surprise here.  It’s chevron.  And it’s an infinity scarf.  I wouldn’t be sad if they sent me a scarf every single month.  Verdict: Kept.

~Cliff Solid Roll-Tab Henley Knit Shirt ($88):  Meh.  I like the material of this and I like the cut and style, but I don’t like the combination together.  I’d want this style in a soft cotton and this material in tank.  Verdict: Returned.

~Adelaide Silk Ruffle Overlay Sleeveless Top ($38): My pictures don’t do this shirt justice and the pictures on the card don’t really either.  This is beautiful. and totally something I would pick on my own.  I couldn’t be happier with this.  Verdict: Kept.

~Rory Geo Printed Knit-Back Tank ($58): I love this print, but the style isn’t me.  It doesn’t fit me right and seems a little short.  Verdict: Returned.

~Axel Skinny Jean ($158): I love these jeans, but I am on the fence about keeping them.  They are stretchy, but still way too tight.  However, they could be “goal” jeans.  We’ll see.  Decisions decisions.  Verdict: Undecided.

I really enjoyed this fix and will for sure be keeping two, maybe three of the pieces. I think there was only one time I didn’t keep anything in my Fix. And once I kept the entire fix! I really like that they offer the 25% discount if you keep everything. Makes it so tempting!
