April 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box

Well, not only did Wantable arrive today, but so did my April 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box! I have a “thing” for Fancy Boxes and get a few of the different ones each month.

And just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month plus shipping, has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Snoop Dog, T-Pain and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites).

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx Home and always takes two days to arrive to me. I love that FedEx Home delivers on Saturdays because that means I don’t have to wait an extra day to it!

First Look

Not only was this box super heavy, it was also jam packed with goodies!  I love when the boxes have tons of items in them.

The Information Card

These seem to be the new Fancy Box information cards (at least for the celebrity ones) and I really like them.  I swear though, I am not going to save them.  Not doing it ;).  Here is what was included in my April 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box:

~Single Herb Pot ($24): Oh I am so putting this on my windowsill in the kitchen.  I don’t know what I am going to grow yet, but I am loving this.  We do grow herbs in the garden, but they seem to get overwhelmed by the veggies so I think this will help us a lot.

Single Herb Pot

~i Peeler ($9): I would assume we have already peeler, but I am not sure that I have ever used it?  I feel like I have seen it though and it’s not as fancy as this one

i Peeler

~Mortar and Pestle ($20): I got this in one of my Fancy Mystery Boxes so it’s a duplicate for me.  I will probably end up donating or gifting this to someone.  Maybe in a housewarming basket or something.  I would trade it, but it would be too expensive to ship.

Mortar and Pestle

~Vegetable Steamer ($8): Ohh, I didn’t even know that such a thing existed.  This is a vegetable steamer that sits in one of your normal pots (and folds flat for easy storage).  We have a bulky one that works well, but this is WAY better.  So cool.

Vegetable Steamer

~Wooden Citrus Reamer ($7): Now I know we do not have a citrus reamer so B will totally use this when he cooks.  I don’t know what he used before, but this will be much easier.

Wooden Citrus Reamer

~Tater Mate ($9): This works best on organic potatoes to clean them and get the eyes out.  Now I must have never had an organic potato before because I have no idea what they are talking about?  B will though ;).

Tater Mate

~Tomato Huller ($5): Now this I can get into!  We don’t have one and I will be using this on tomatoes for my salads this summer!

Tomato Huller

All totaled I came up with a value of $82 for the April 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box.  I loved that there were so many items in this box instead of just a few higher priced ones.  I love this box and I can’t wait to ditch my giant steamer and replace it with the cool one in here!
