My mail came so late today and the anticipation was killing me because I knew that my Birchbox Limited Edition Free for All box was coming!! Birchbox offers a monthly subscription of $10, however, they also offer Limited Edition boxes, like this one, on occasion. This box was $44 and every product in this collection is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, and GMOs.
I ordered this box on Tuesday (as soon as it was released) and it arrived today. I think the shipping time was two days total? Monthly boxes ship via USPS Mail Innovations, but shop orders and Limited Edition boxes ship via Priority Mail!
For some reason I expected this box to be much bigger? No idea why since the site lists the size of the products, but I was shocked that two of these, an Orange Glad box and my regular mail all fit in my mailbox today!
Of course I knew exactly what was in the box (they always release all the contents of their Limited Edition boxes so you know exactly what is coming), but I was anxious to check out sizes and smells and all that in person!
As I mentioned, the Birchbox: Limited Edition Free for All box is an all natural collection of best-in-class products rely largely on natural extracts from flowers, fruits, and veggies. The information card is packed with details on uses, ingredients, etc. Products included are as follows:
~W3LL PEOPLE Hypnotist Eyeliner ($16.50): This eyeliner is all-natural and does not contain any of the preservatives and adhesives that lots of eyeliners do that can accelerate skin aging. I don’t use eyeliner much, but I am keeping this because when I do I certainly don’t want to be accelerating the aging process!
~Alima Pure Lip Tint in Rhubarb ($12): Ohh, I love this! It’s got more color than a regular balm, but not as much as a lipstick. I like to have a little color on my lips, but not a ton like lipstick gives, so this is awesome.
~eco-armour Shave with Benefits Shave Foam with Mint + Eucalyptus ($6.32): I don’t generally use a shave cream, but this smells good so why not? Or maybe I will give it to B to shave his chest with? I am guessing he uses something?
~FEED 10 Pouch ($16): This pouch is probably the main reason I ordered this box. I love this and will probably use it to store things in the car or as a travel makeup bag. I love that tassel zipper! Oh, and I want to mention that this pouch gives ten school meals to children globally!!!
~Jurlique Purely Bright Radiance Serum ($29): We received a different Jurilque serum in the March PopSugar box, but I think I like this one better. This is supposed to reduce dark spots and other discolorations and helps promote collagen synthesis, all of which I need. And sort of related, but I am planning to do a post soon about skin care (mine sucks) and I am going to be looking for everyone’s routines. What do you use? What order do you use the things in? How often?
~Karma Organic Spa Nail Polish Remover with Soybean Oil and Tea Tree Oil ($1.53): This is awesome. I hate the smell of regular nail polish and the fact that you need to open the window and make sure not to spill it because it will eat your table can’t be good either! This is works great and will be on my to buy list.
~Løv Organic Tea (muslin tea bags in assorted flavors: Løv is Good, Løv is Pure, Løv is Zen, and Løv is Beautiful) ($2.98): Meh. It appears that no box is complete without tea (LOL) and this one is no exception. The packaging on this is awesome though, so that scores cute points.
~Shamanuti Activated Charcoal Cleanser ($6.10): I am very excited about this charcoal cleanser! I washed my face right after it arrived and it felt so nice. This will likely also be a full sized purchase.
All totaled I came up with a value of $90.43 for the Birchbox Limited Edition Free for All Box, which is more than double the $44 cost of the box! I LOVE when Birchbox does Limited Edition boxes and rarely let one pass me by. I really really want Birchbox to do a monthly (heck, even quarterly) “Home” box because they hit those out of the park when they do them. Hopefully one day!
The Limited Edition Birchbox boxes do sell out so if you want to be sure to get one, click here to order and / or to check out all the details. I am not sure if these codes still work, but “MOBILE20” may work for 20% off and “WELCOMEOFFER20” worked for 20% off earlier in the week as well! Or you could use the code “YUMIKIMCASE” to get a free floral iPhone 5/5S case from Yumi Kim, which I know works! It’s totally gorgeous and you know I am going to get one!
