Yay! My Citrus Lane Mystery Box(es) finally arrived! I have been waiting for them for what feels like forever and happily they arrived today!
If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but if you sign up for a longer subscription, you can get boxes for as little as $19/month (that’s what I do). They also have been offering Mystery Boxes every once in a while, which are also $29 and promise to have a value of $60+. They offered four Mystery Boxes this time and were themed “Bath”, “Mealtime”, “Art” and “Music”. I ordered all four of them (of course I did since I cannot resist a Mystery Box) and I am going to break up the reviews into two posts so I don’t overwhelm you with individual posts or with one huge post about them all!
Citrus Lane Bath Mystery Box
The Citrus Lane Bath Mystery Box was described as containing $60+ worth of items for your little child including a Boon Duck (color & pattern will vary) and was designed for babies and toddlers 6+ months. I have mentioned it before, but everyone I know is having babies, so I knew what we couldn’t use one of them could! Here is what was inside:
~Boon Dive ($8.99): We have these and we love them! Both boys (who are 2 and 6) play with them in the tub and I so appreciate that they do not get all moldy or gross.
~Boon Odd Duck ($8.49): WB laid his eyes on this when I was opening up the box and it was all over. He kept yelling duck duck and couldn’t get his hands on it fast enough. These also won’t get all moldy in the tub since they don’t hold water!
~i Play Organic Cotton Hooded Towel ($10.99): I like to wrap WB in the biggest towels I can find (L would never fit in this) and this one is more for a baby, so I will be passing it on to a friend. It’s really soft though and I wouldn’t mind an adult one.
~Rich Frog Bath Sponges (~$10): I can’t find these online, but I am going to estimate them at $5 each. Oddly enough, the kids were just looking for sponges in the bathtub earlier tonight. Not to wash up with, but to play with. I think these will serve there purpose quite well.
~Sage Creek Washcloths ($10.40): I don’t use a washcloth on the kids anymore (not since they were babies), but I am going to keep these and use to wash my face. They are so soft , so I think they will be perfect.
~California Baby Travel Sized Shampoo & Conditioner ($7): Perfect for traveling! We will be using on our next trip. I love California Baby stuff and don’t seem to ever buy it because it is pricey, so this will be a treat.
~I’ll See You in the Morning Book ($6.29): Aww, this book is super cute. WB is not much of a snuggly book reader at night (except if it’s a train book), but I am working on it.
All totaled I came up with a value of $62.16 for the Bath Citrus Lane Mystery Box! The value was more than double the cost of the box and I thought everything was totally usable. It was a fabulous mystery box and did not disappoint!
Citrus Lane Mealtime Mystery Box
The Citrus Lane Bath Mealtime Box was described as containing $60+ worth of items for your little child including a Skip Hop bib(monkey or owl) and was recommended for babies 4+ months. Here is what it included:
~Dispensing Spoon by Boon ($4.99): I was just talking to my girlfriend who just a baby last week about these. She has other kids, but it’s been nine years since she had her last one so there has been a ton of new baby innovations since then. I can’t wait to give these to her! I swore by them when WB was a baby.
~Skip Hop Owl Bib ($7.79): We have the exact same bib, but in a different animal. We usually use it for painting or other messy projects because it wipes cleaning teaser than the cloth ones.
~Munchkin Trainer Cups ($7.49): We actually received this same set in the 0-12 month Mystery Box from a few weeks ago and are liking them. Not sure if I will keep these or pass them along yet.
~Boon Clutch ($11.99): I actually received this in a Citrus Lane box not too long ago and I love it! Even though I don’t wash bottle parts anymore, I still wash a ton of zippy cup parts and this helps to contain them all. I’ll be passing this along to a friend who I know will appreciate it!
~Innobaby Packin’ SMART Stack-N-Seal ($8.99): Snack containers always come in handy and no matter how many we have, it’s never enough. We are always running out and because they get left in backpacks, the car, strollers, bags, etc.
~itzy ritzy Snack Happens Bag ($9.99): I love these bags and this print is fabulous. I will be keeping my snacks in this in my bag!
~Plum Pouch ($2.39): I’ll try to talk WB into eating this one, but if it doesn’t have elmo on it, he usually pushes them away! He used to love them all. Not anymore!
~ah goo baby The Bottle Strap ($10.49): I never used one of these, but I will pass them on to my friend and get a report on how it works.
All totaled I came up with a value of $64.12 for the Mealtime Citrus Lane Mystery Box! And once again, I loved this box! This had less useful stuff for us, but that was to be expected since the age recommendation was 4+ months!
Did you get a Citrus Lane Mystery Box? What’d you get in it? All the Mystery Boxes are currently sold out, however, I am hoping they offer another one or four again soon! I’ll be back tomorrow with reviews on the Art and Music Mystery Boxes, but if you are interested in ordering a Citrus Lane subscription, you can click here and try your first box for only $9 using the coupon code “TAKE20OFF“! That’s a great deal so don’t miss out!
