MondayMorningRamblings

~Monday oh Monday! We had a long weekend (which was actually even longer than it should have been because L was sick last week), but it’s back to school for L today. B is off though, so I think we are going to head to the casino (YES!) and then hopefully hit up the outdoor mall after picking L up from school. It’s suppose to be SO nice and they have a great outdoor play area for kids. Plus I need to go to Nordstrom. And Lush. And Sephora. Hopefully I win big ;).

~Our weekend was fabulous and included B’s birthday, WB’s birthday and then Easter! I don’t think we could have asked for anything better. The kids were healthy and in fabulous moods all weekend. And B got to work on his car and do stuff around the yard, so he was in a pretty fabulous mood as well. And when my boys are happy, I am happy! After a wild morning of hunting for eggs and Easter baskets, I spent WB’s nap time on the patio watching L and the neighbor kids play in the backyard. And we had Easter dinner at my parents which involved more egg hunting (we ALL hunt for eggs at their house) and prizes and family and yummy food. Why can’t every weekend be like this?

Easter Recap

~I have an assortment of subscription boxes coming this week including Escape Monthly, bluum, Mantry, Haute Look Beauty Bag, Loot Crate, Hazel Lane and hopefully my Citrus Lane mystery boxes.  And I also have a “few” reviews to get posted including Nerd Block Jr (Boy), Little Blast, Lip Factory, Fancy Mystery Box (yes, another one), Indie Gift Box, Homegrown Collective and Q BOX.

~Guess what today is?  If you guessed the beginning of the Target after Easter Clearance sale you are correct!  It will be 50% off today, then probably 70% on 2-3 days and 90% off 2-3 days after that.  I am not in “need” of anything except for candy for my cousin’s graduation party, however, I am sure I will find stuff I never even realized I needed!  I will try and remember to do some scouting at the store this week and I will see what the “hidden” (i.e. toys and things that you’d never know where Easter clearance unless you “knew” what to look for) clearance items are over at Slick Deals.

~Because I cannot go to the store without buying lip balm, I picked up an EOS Blueberry Sphere over the weekend.  I think it’s my new favorite!

Love

~Instead of trying to tackle organizing my entire house all at once, I am challenging myself to one bag / box a day.  Every day I am going to throw away, donate or put away for a garage sale one bag of stuff.  And this will continue until I am done!  Lately I have been looking at some things wondering where I will even begin and then just giving up before I start.  This is going to make it much much easier.  And hopefully won’t be so discouraging!

~If you missed yesterday’s posts, you may want to check them out.  You probably will really want to check out the “Cleaning Out My Closet” Giveaway post 😉  Just a few things I found that I didn’t even realize I still had.

~Can anyone recommend any good movies out on DVD?  Or even a new tv show?  I keep hearing all about Game of Thrones, and, umm, I have no idea what that even is, but from the looks of it, it’s not my kind of show.   I am not a fan of sci-fi, fantasy and / or movies set  in the future.  I like things that could happen in real life.

What’s up for your Monday?  How was your weekend?  What subscription boxes are you expecting this week?  And to everyone in Boston today, I am hoping for an amazing day for you all and will be thinking about all the runners and spectators! #bostonstrong
