Sudsy Box - Spring Edition
Sudsy Box – Spring Edition

Sudsy Box, who kindly sent me this box for review, contains 3 full sized soap bars from Heidi’s Artisan Soap and one sample of a lip balm, lotion bar, sea salt scrub or body butter. The soaps will vary and will be themed to the season of the shipment.

The Box

Sudsy Box ships via USPS Priority Mail.  Boxes are shipped bi-monthly, and if I am not mistaken, this is their first ever box.

First Look

Right away I noticed the cool paper (and labels) in this box and I was hoping there would be some sort of details about it.  And on the back of the information card their was!  This paper (which is so cool by the way) is handmade lotka paper which is made in the highlands of Nepal by rural craftspeople.  Not only is the entire process earth friendly, it also provides the area with a healthy enterprise.  Also, the paper contains 15 types of tiny wildflower seeds that will grow in North America.  So you can plant this paper and watch it grow.  L is going to be amazed by this.  And frankly I am too.

The Information Card

The Spring 2014 Sudsy Box does’t have a theme (although they do select seasonally appropriate items), but like I said, they have the coolest information card out there!  Here is what the box contained:

~Morning Mist Soap ($6): Morning Mist smells like peppermint and is suppose to be sudsy and creamy, but doesn’t leave your skin dry.  I wanted to open all these soaps up to show you how cool they look. but I also didn’t want to ruin all the package since there is no way 3 bars of soap will be able to be used right away!  You can click the links though to see how neat they are.

Morning Mist Soap

~Orange Mocha Expresso Soap ($6): This is my favorite scent of the bunch.  It’s a combination of cocoa butter and orange essential oil and is totally my kind of scent.  I have been hesitant to switch to bar soap, but it finally occurred to me that I don’t need to just ditch shower gel.  I can use both and alternate!  Problem solved.

Orange Mocha Expresso Soap

~Lavender Dreams Soap ($6):  This one also smells fabulous and is very spa like.  Just closing my eyes and smelling it relaxed me a bit.

Lavender Dreams Soap

~Glossy Lip Balm – Peppermint ($3): I was so hoping there would be a lip balm in this box to try and here it is! I put it on right away and it made my lips shiny and soft!  Love it!

Glossy Lip Balm – Peppermint

All totaled I came up with a value of $21 for the Spring 2014 Sudsy Box!  The box itself is $20 bi-monthly, however, if you ordered them directly from Heidi’s Artisan Soaps, you’d have to pay shipping of $6!  Plus, if you use the coupon code “NEW10” at checkout you will save 10% off your order!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was sent for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
