Fancy, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers a regular monthly Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, Coco Rocha and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites).
In addition, Fancy is now offering Mystery Boxes in three sizes – Small ($10), Medium ($20) and Large ($40), and either Men or Women. This box is a Women’s Medium Box. I have reviewed numerous Small Mystery Boxes and just received the Large one yesterday, so I was super excited when I opened the box and discovered they had sent the medium!
Fancy Box ships via FedEx. I used to be less than thrilled that Fancy charges extra for shipping, however, after having to wait over a week for Smart Post / DHL Deliveries, I have come to appreciate the faster shipping!
This box was super heavy and seems a bit “unsecure”, so I was hoping that whatever was it in was okay. Things looks undamaged from the first look so I was relieved. Fancy Mystery Boxes do not contain information cards, but my box contained the following items:
~Norpro Marble Mortar & Pestle ($20): This is obviously what was so heavy in the box. So heavy in fact that it broke the box that it came in! All was fine though. I don’t believe we have a mortar and pestle? If we do I have never seen it. I will have to ask B!
~Viktor & Rolf Fairy Tales ($19.95): This is a collection of whimsical, modern-day fables from iconic fashion duo Viktor & Rolf. It’s really cute and I plan on reading it and then passing off to a fashionista friend to enjoy!
~SOLA Laurel Rocks Glass ($11.25): I received the shot glasses (and tote bag) from this collection on my Large Mystery Box yesterday and I now SO want the entire set of these. They are way more me than the shot glasses (although I will make those work) and would be awesome on the patio this summer. I wonder how many fancy mystery boxes I would need to order to get the set.
All totaled I came up with a value of $51.20 for the Women’s Fancy Mystery Box (Medium). The box was $20 (plus $7.95) shipping, so it was nearly double the value. And just like with the Large Fancy Box from yesterday, this makes me want to order more. I love that there are more variations in the different sized boxes (instead of just the decals and the polish we’d all been getting at the start) and want to see what else they send!
