I think the arrival of my April 2014 Her Fashion Box marks the arrival of the last of my April boxes. I still have a few reviews to do, but this was the last straggler to arrive.

If you aren’t familiar, Her Fashion Box (which is based in Australia) sends you one on-trend fashion accessory tailored to your style profile (you can select from Classic, Feminine or Trendy – which I selected), as well as a number of carefully selected beauty products. In addition, boxes will include products, samples or offers from premium lifestyle brands that could include things such as gorgeous stationery, luxury candles, beauty or spa services, hair and make-up tools, gourmet food or wine tasters, cute home wares, online products, entertainment and more.

The Package

Her Fashion Box ships from Australia and is supposed to ship during the beginning of the month, however, just like last month and the month before, the April box was delayed.  They again sent out e-mails about the delay, but I am not 100% sure why the shipment was delayed.

All the Her Fashion Box contents never actually fit inside the box itself, which I like.

The Magazine

Each Her Fashion Box includes their monthly fashion magazine.  And the model on the cover is typically wearing something from inside the box!

The Her Fashion Box box is a nice black gift box with a magnetic closure.  My picture makes it look kind of dirty, but I can assure you it is not.

First Look

This month’s first look was just kind of meh.  Nothing popped out at me right away.  Her Fashion Box doesn’t include an information card, but I so wish it did.  I like to easily be able to verify that I am not missing anything in the box.   Here is what my April 2014 Her Fashion Box (Trendy) included:

~Her Fashion Box Socks: I wouldn’t (well wouldn’t be able to pull it off anyway) wear these as part of an outfit, but with pjs in the winter?  Yes!  Heck even on a night when it’s freezing in our house because the air conditioning is on I would wear these.

~Her Fashion Box Jewelry: I am not huge on these earrings, but I think I can handle the bracelet.  In fact, I am sure I can.  I like the colors I got and while it’s not a daily piece for me, it will work.

~Cedel Hairspray (Coconut Bay) ($3.68): Now this is why I like Her Fashion Box.  I like getting Australian products that we don’t have over here.  I love the packaging on this and it smells quite good as well!

~MOR Hand Cream: I like the MOR line, but I would have preferred to have one larger hand cream instead of five samples.

~Urban Rituelle Soap (Island Citrus) ($4.57): This soap smells good and is another brand we don’t get here (at least I don’t think we do).  I’ll probably end up being the one who uses  this and not B (who uses more bar soap than I do), because I don’t think he likes to smell like Island Citrus.

~Manicare Nail File: Not overly exciting, but very useful.  I can always use a fresh nail file! And it’s also really cute.

I wasn’t able to do a price breakdown on this box because most of the items are Her Fashion Box exclusives.  I haven’t been in love with any of the other Her Fashion Boxes, but I always liked them and felt like they were worth it  However, I was disappointed this month.  Boxes work out to be about $36/month (in USD) and I just wasn’t feeling it. Unless May totally wows me, it’s possible this could be my last month.  I am hoping that May is fabulous though because I want to love this and I do love getting the Australian exclusive items.

This box feels kind of sad. Mine is suppose to be here on Tuesday and I’m not looking forward to it nearly as much as I was. I actually bought those exact earrings from Forever21 for like $5.
Fingers crossed that next month is better. I’ve already paid for May and June.

      Yeah, I didn’t love it!

It’s currently Fall turning into Winter over in Australia. (My best friend lives there.) I wonder if the boxes will reflect their current season (which is the opposite of what ours is!) It doesnt get super cold over there, so hopefully no heavy hats or gloves. =)

I think they do! I don’t mind too much if it’s “off season” because I can save it, but I really just want a box packed with Australian brand goodies!
