GLOSSYBOX
Cost: Monthly Box: $21/month. Limited Edition Mother’s Day Box: $40 (now sold out)
Ships To: United States.
It was another busy subscription box day around here (it’s been a busy week overall) and one of the boxes that arrived today was my GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Mother’s Day Box.
If you aren’t familiar, GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you five luxury surprise beauty items to your door every month for $21. And every once in a while they put together incredible Limited Edition boxes which are separate from the monthly subscription, like this Mother’s Day one, which was $40.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS. This box was promised to arrive between 5/1/14 and 5/13/14 and mine was right in line with that.
GLOSSYBOX has fabulous monthly boxes (the actual box itself), however, their Limited Edition ones knock those out of the park. Seriously how gorgeous is this? Love it! And there is not a chance I am throwing this away. Not a chance! It will sit along with my Dallas Shaw and Best of Britain GLOSSYBOX boxes.
If you bought this box to gift to someone, it is perfectly ready to give. It’s even got a place on the information card for you to write a note!
GLOSSYBOX released the contents for this one prior to shipment, so I knew what was coming. The box was fuller and heavy than I was expecting though, which is a good thing.
The GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box has a gorgeous information card (way fancier than I have ever seen in a GLOSSYBOX) and like I said, it has room for you to write a note if you are giving this as a gift. Here is what was inside:
~Caldrea Body Lotion ($22): Totally love! Caldrea has a great line of products, however, I rarely buy it on my own. I got a sample of the body wash (in a different scent) in the April GLOSSYBOX which I loved and this lotion is equally fabulous.
~Bellapierre Cosmetics Official Lipstick (Envy) ($20): The coloring is a bit off on this picture, but Envy is a nude pink shade that promises to become a staple in your make-up bag. This is a sister-in-law item! She gets all my lipsticks and I think she’ll love this love. I get lots of bright ones, so this will be a nice change.
~Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer ($22): I always feel like I should put something in my hair before I dry it and here it is. It helps prevent breakage and and provides 24-hour lasting volume. I can’t tell if it’s helping with the breakage yet, but I do feel like it helped with volume.
~ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend ($22): I have received this in a previous box and I like it, but it’s not my favorite ever mascara. Wait, the first few applications in any tube of mascara make me think it’s my favorite mascara ever. There is just something about that clean brush that makes it go on so well. But regardless, I do like this and I love that there is a little mirror on the container so you can see what you are doing.
~Pureology Serious Colour Care Fresh Approach Dry Condition ($9): This actually came in my Summer Allure Beauty Box as well. You are suppose to apply it to frizzy, dry and undisciplined hair. My hair is none of that right now so it wouldn’t be a great test, but it’s only a matter of time before it’s a mess again and needs this.
~Skin Inc. Custom Brightening Serum ($135): Yes, this really is $135. I kid you not. It was designed to tackle skin dullness and tiredness and was a custom blend just for GLOSSYBOX. I am going to use this for a month straight and I am expecting magic. For $135, I think you have to expect magic ;).
All totaled I came up with a value of $230 for the Limited Edition Mother’s Day GLOSSYBOX. Considering that the box was only $40, this was an incredible value. I am very pleased with this and am already looking forward to their next limited edition box (which I will get no matter what)!
Did you get a GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box? What’d you think of it? This box is sold out, but if you haven’t yet subscribed to GLOSSYBOX, now is the time! The May box is a collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman and will include six products from luxury brands along with a $25 Bergdorf Gift Card. Since the monthly box is only $21, you are already $4 ahead and that’s not even including any products. If you are interested in signing up, click here!
Wow oh wow! This is an amazing box!! I wish I had the chance to get one! Unfortunately I just found out about Glossybox shortly after this box sold out! Looking forward to getting my first Glossybox which is in the mail now and I will certainly invest in their next Limited Edition Box! Again, so awesome!!
Ohh, they do amazing Limited Editions. SO good!
I loved how the mascara went on and how it looked!….but then I started to sweat and it looked like I got punched in the eyes! haha
Ha!!!
Super jealous! I really wanted to get this one—should have just done it. Report back on that “miracle” serum. 🙂
Ha! I will. On one hand I want it to work and on the other hand I don’t because I will never be able to buy it again.
I like the box ! Unfortunately it came right as I was unpacking my allure 12 pounds of amazing goodness and it made the mothers day box seem -well, meh. Lol but it is a really good box. And I agree I too will use this serum every day and expect magic!!
Magic. I feel like in a month I will look like I am 20!!!!
That is one of my favorite mascaras that I’ve gotten. Some of the ones I wear once or twice and they make my eyes itch but I wear this one alot. It is one of my go tos when I wear mascara. 🙂 Nice box overall I just wish it had less hair stuff. I don’t use that much hair stuff but who knows maybe I should 😉
Did you get the Allure box? That is so much hair stuff.
No I just didn’t think I would use enough of the products. I did good in resisting. 🙂
Does it give the ingredients of the serum anywhere?? I’m so jealous you got yours already! Mine is… challenged.
I don’t think so, but I didn’t look too closely??
Is it me or do all your glossybox links end up on birchbox? 🙂
Ha. No. I totally put the wrong links in!
I ordered this for my Mom 15 minutes after it went on sale. I was so excited. I received a tracking number but I found out today that it actually never shipped. They were going to resend it via regular us mail so I cancelled. So bummed! And now I have to find a gift for my Mom that will never be as good as this was. I love glossybox but they have horrible service. This is the second time I’ve had a limited edition box go unshipped.
The box looks so great, which makes it worse!
UGH! I wish they would have gotten it out by Mother’s Day ;( That sucks!
Mine was going to be a gift for my mom Sunday and its not getting to me until early next week! Soo disappointed 🙁
BOO!
I got the Mother’s Day box. Love the box but I wish they hadn’t written “Glossybox” on the front of it! I would have liked to have the box as a keepsake. Also, I opened the lipstick and the entire thing fell out onto the floor. They said they would replace it though.
Oh no! At least they responded quickly!
I ordered two and it seems they created labels but have yet to ship them 🙁 I was so excited about this box, but now unwed a Mother’s Day Plan B with only a day left. Bummer!!!
Unwed = I need
😉
UGH! I hope it’s just the shipping that hasn’t updated! I checked mine one day and then it just showed up!
Looooove everything in this box on first glance. I’m normally not a lipstick wearer but love this color on. The mascara looked awesome but was SUPER itchy to me. My eyes were watering all day until I finally washed it off. Excited to try the rest of the products though.
Let me know what you think of the serum after you have used it a while.
