GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Mother’s Day Box

It was another busy subscription box day around here (it’s been a busy week overall) and one of the boxes that arrived today was my GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Mother’s Day Box.

If you aren’t familiar, GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you five luxury surprise beauty items to your door every month for $21. And every once in a while they put together incredible Limited Edition boxes which are separate from the monthly subscription, like this Mother’s Day one, which was $40.

The Box

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS.  This box was promised to arrive between 5/1/14 and 5/13/14 and mine was right in line with that.

The GLOSSYBOX

GLOSSYBOX has fabulous monthly boxes (the actual box itself), however, their Limited Edition ones knock those out of the park.  Seriously how gorgeous is this?  Love it!  And there is not a chance I am throwing this away.  Not a chance!  It will sit along with my Dallas Shaw and Best of Britain GLOSSYBOX boxes.

First Look

If you bought this box to gift to someone, it is perfectly ready to give.  It’s even got a place on the information card for you to write a note!

Second First Look

GLOSSYBOX released the contents for this one prior to shipment, so I knew what was coming.  The box was fuller and heavy than I was expecting though, which is a good thing.

The Information Card

The GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box has a gorgeous information card (way fancier than I have ever seen in a GLOSSYBOX) and like I said, it has room for you to write a note if you are giving this as a gift.  Here is what was inside:

~Caldrea Body Lotion ($22): Totally love!  Caldrea has a great line of products, however, I rarely buy it on my own.  I got a sample of the body wash (in a different scent) in the April GLOSSYBOX which I loved and this lotion is equally fabulous.

Caldrea Body Lotion

~Bellapierre Cosmetics Official Lipstick (Envy) ($20):  The coloring is a bit off on this picture, but Envy is a nude pink shade that promises to become a staple in your make-up bag.  This is a sister-in-law item!  She gets all my lipsticks and I think she’ll love this love.  I get lots of bright ones, so this will be a nice change.

Bellepierre Mineral Lipstick in Envy

~Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer ($22): I always feel like I should put something in my hair before I dry it and here it is.  It helps prevent breakage and and provides 24-hour lasting volume.  I can’t tell if it’s helping with the breakage yet, but I do feel like it helped with volume.

~ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend ($22): I have received this in a previous box and I like it, but it’s not my favorite ever mascara.  Wait, the first few applications in any tube of mascara make me think it’s my favorite mascara ever.  There is just something about that clean brush that makes it go on so well.  But regardless, I do like this and I love that there is a little mirror on the container so you can see what you are doing.

~Pureology Serious Colour Care Fresh Approach Dry Condition ($9):  This actually came in my Summer Allure Beauty Box as well.  You are suppose to apply it to frizzy, dry and undisciplined hair. My hair is none of that right now so it wouldn’t be a great test, but it’s only a matter of time before it’s a mess again and needs this.

~Skin Inc. Custom Brightening Serum ($135): Yes, this really is $135.  I kid you not.  It was designed to tackle skin dullness and tiredness and was a custom blend just for GLOSSYBOX.  I am going to use this for a month straight and I am expecting magic.  For $135, I think you have to expect magic ;).

All totaled I came up with a value of $230 for the Limited Edition Mother’s Day GLOSSYBOX.  Considering that the box was only $40, this was an incredible value.  I am very pleased with this and am already looking forward to their next limited edition box (which I will get no matter what)!

Did you get a GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box?  What’d you think of it?  This box is sold out, but if you haven’t yet subscribed to GLOSSYBOX, now is the time!  The May box is a collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman and will include six products from luxury brands along with a $25 Bergdorf Gift Card.  Since the monthly box is only $21, you are already $4 ahead and that’s not even including any products.  If you are interested in signing up, click here!
