Zoobean
Cost: $2.99 – $14.95/month (depending on package selected)
Ships To: United States.
Zoobean, who kindly sent me this package to review, is a monthly subscription service which helps you build your individual child’s literacy with remarkable children’s books and apps selected just for him or her. You may select from a monthly book delivery service (from $9.99/month) that gives you one hardcover or paperback book each month, along with an app recommendation + literacy guides or a digital service option (from $2.99/month) and receive weekly personalized app + book recommendations that come with literacy guides.
This package is for WB who is 2 years old. I also receive one for L, but it’s not here yet this month.
Zoobean ships via USPS Media Mail. Sometimes packages arrive in just a few days. Sometimes they take over a week.
The Book
WB’s book select this month was “The Pout-Pout Fish” (which is selling for $10.95 on Amazon right now). It’s super cute and L right away wanted to read it. WB? He wasn’t in the mood. The illustrations are awesome and we don’t have this one, so it was a great fit!
The App
The App selected for us this month (they actually send a few recommendations throughout the month, but this was the first one for June) was “Tino the Triangle – Book & Peekaboo” which I am super excited about because it’s FREE! It’s also fun and a new one for WB which is awesome. I said it last month, but I would love to somehow request apps that are $0.99 or $1.99. Free ones are even better though!
The Zoobean plan I received is $14.95, which includes the monthly hardcover book + the digital reading guide + the app selection and app companion. The book itself is nearly $14 on Amazon, so you are basically getting all those other goodies for about $1! If you are interested in just the Digital Service, it’s $2.99/month and you will receive a Receive a weekly email that includes an expert created Reading Guide or App Companion along with a book or app recommendation. And then you can pick up the book at the bookstore or borrowing it from your local library!
