May 2014 Citrus Lane (4 Year-Old Boy)

Yay!  My May 2014 Citrus Lane box is here!  I got a ton of mail today (my mom was here and quite enjoyed all the unboxings) and Citrus Lane was the first one I went for.  I get two CL boxes every month, one for WB who just turned two and one extra box for a 4 year-old boy. This review is for the 4 year-old boy box – WB’s box is still on it’s way.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane  is $29/month, but they have a coupon code “TAKE20OFF” which lets you pick up your first box for $9! And if you order an annual subscription the price drops down to $19/month!

The Box

Citrus Lane ships vis FedEx Smart Post.  My box took just under a week to arrive which is fairly average for them.

First Look

I had seen a few variations of this month’s box (they are age specific) and although I hadn’t seen one for the specific age of this box, I did have an idea of what I was getting.

The Information Card

The May 2014 Citrus Lane box included items to get you in the spirit of summer and to help you to get ready to spend more time outside.  Here is what was included:

~Goodbyn Hero (~$14.99): It doesn’t appear this is for sale yet in the US (it’s available in Australia though), so I estimated the price on it.   I LOVE this!  I pack L’s lunch in a Goodbyn we got from CL in a previous box and I use the little one for snacks every day.  I will use this for summer snacks, lunches, tons of stuff!

~Fun Flyer from Stephen Joseph ($6.95): Both boys will like this and I am going to actually have to try and trade for another so they can each have one.

~Mini Art Kit from Creativity for Kids ($5.99): I remember having these when I was little! I’ll put these away for a raining summer day.  I know the boys will get a kick out of dropping them off our little balcony upstairs.

~Fresh Feet Wipes for Kids from Jasmine Seven ($3.32): It doesn’t bother my boys, but I hate dirty feet more than just about anything.  I usually just use baby wipes, but special antibacterial feet wipes sound even better.

~Snack from Back to Nature ($1.50): I think there was a few different types of snacks sent out, but I was happy to get the chocolate chunk cookies.  They are yummy and served as a much needed after farm snack.

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $32.75 for the May 2014 Citrus Lane.  I LOVED this box!  Even though L is 6 and this box is for a 4 year-old, this box is perfect for him.  I cannot even wait to see what WB gets in his box this month!  I am hoping for another Goodbyn.  Oh and I should mention that the box also came with a 25% off coupon code to Vine Market which offers natural and organic groceries.

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here.   Now through 5/31, you can use the coupon code “TAKE20OFF” to save $20 off your first box!  That would make your first Citrus Lane box $9 which is a complete steal!!! You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s totally an amazing way to try them out!
