May 2014 Googaro

Googaro, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for babies 0-3 years of age.  Each month Googaro sends selects mom-approved items for you and baby straight to your door. You’ll receive some of their favorite finds including toys, books, snacks, and household products.

The Box

Googaro shipped via DHL this month and took four days to arrive once it was picked up. I got the tracking e-mail for this one on the 9th, but the box wasn’t actually picked up by DHL until the 12th.

First Look

I thought the first look was a good one.  I like the colors that popped out at me and not much looked familiar, which is also good!

The Information Card

Googaro doesn’t have a monthly theme, however, they have a fabulous information card with pictures, descriptions and prices.  This box is for 1-2 year olds (boxes are grouped by 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years) and included the following:

~Melissa & Doug Turtle Bubbles ($2.99):  Bubbles have been a big hit around here this spring.  L enjoys blowing bubbles and WB likes trying to catch them, so they make a great pair.

~JJ Cole Diaper & Wipes Pod ($13.99): While this is totally cute and I do like it a lot, I feel like it would be a better fit for a younger box so that you could get more use out of it.  It holds diapers and wipes and also has a built in changing pad.

~Begin Again PushAround Duck ($13): We just got the dog a few months back in another box and I thought it was a tad on the young side, but maybe I am wrong since it was in both boxes for just about the same age group?  Either way I know WB would play with it, but since I passed the other one along to my cousin (I think I gave it to her anyway) who just had a baby, I will pass along the duck as well.  Hopefully I can get the pusharound car so she has the entire set!

~Chronicle Mommy Hugs ($5.95): Adorable book and WB has already enjoyed flipping through it.  I swear, he is so serious in his reading.  It’s so fun to watch!

~Googaro Stainless Steel Bottle ($9.99): On one hand I totally love this because L could use a water bottle, but on the other hand, I am not sure he’ll appreciate the logo on it for his field day.  WB wouldn’t care about it of course and the box is for him, but L would for sure get more use out of it!

All totaled I came up with a value of $45.92 for the May 2014 Googaro Box!  As always it was over the $35 price point on this box and while it wasn’t my favorite box, it will give us lots of some items for us to use and some items to gift as well, which is awesome.  And if you got a different age group box (they do 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years), what was in it?

If you are interested in learning more or signing up, click here.  Googaro starts at $35/month, but you can use the coupon code “MOM” to save $10 off your first order!
