It’s that time again! May ipsy and Birchboxes are up! Well kind of. Here’s how to check what you are getting:
~Birchbox: If you want to know what you are getting this month, log into your account and click “Box” and then “Women’s Box”. You’ll be able to see the contents of your May 2014 Box right there! Well, you should be able to anyway. Mine hasn’t updated yet this month. Womp womp. As I understand it, I am not the only one with this issue! I guess boxes aren’t appearing now until they have shipped, which should be the 10th, but mine hasn’t shipped yet either;(. I am sure I just need to be patient! If you want to check out all the boxes, go here and change the “1” at the end to anywhere between and “2” and a “47” since there were 47 different box options this month.
~ipsy: If you are wondering what’s coming in your May 2014 ipsy My Glam bag, head to your account and click “My Glam Room” in the top right of the homepage (once you login). It will show you your April 2014 bag and in the drop down menu you can see all your previous months. If you want to see all the items ipsy sent out this month, you’ll see a link at the bottom of your Glam Room which will expand page to show them all to you. Here is what I am getting in my May 2014 ipsy:
I gotta say, I checked out all the variations for ipsy this month and I am pretty darn pleased with this one! That Pur~lisse is a huge score for me. Love that stuff!

I was wondering why Birchbox didn’t update on the 10th! I’m getting box 33 – it has 6 items so I’m happy with that.

Mine updated on the 10th…I figured it did for everyone. Ipsy didn’t until today for me though.
I don;t think ipsy updated for anyone until today. But nope, BB hasn’t updated for a bunch of people.
I got the #1 option for Birchbox this month. Normally I hate getting foil packets but it looks as though the Nexxus will allow me to review all the three products separately… So hopefully I’ll get credit for 7 reviews this month! Def a win.

I really want ipsy! I have been on the waitlist since January 21st. I even made another account just incase something happened with my first account. I’ve tried sharing it on Facebook to see if someone would sign up under my link, but no 🙁 maybe if I make a second Facebook and sign up under my own link… Hmmm…

When you joined the second account did you use the first accounts referral link? I was on the waiting list and I used my referral link and sign up for another account and it took my first account right off the waiting list.
Send them an email. That worked for me 🙂 i was on the waiting list for just 1 month since january and i now got my 3rd ipsy bag 🙂 no facebook or sharing. Just wrote them an email.
I actually don’t think ipsy has a wait list right now? I think they opened it for a few days??
Eeek! If you want to trade the revlon colorburst let me know! I am getting the Too Faced contour/bronzer and I was wanting the lipstick!
Do you think it’s all going to be the same color?
For the revlon? I believe they are all Elusive. The ones I’ve seen all say elusive and the descriptions of the product in ipsy don’t say “subscribers will get one of the following colors” or whatever it normally says when there are multiple color options.
My April birchbox did not arrive until April 21st. They did give me 100 points for it being delayed but I hope it is not the same this month.

I got box 30 and it came on Friday. I didn’t know what I was getting before I got it. They aren’t using FedEx SmartPost anymore and it is going straight to the post office. I thought the tracking number was for Fedex and it didn’t update so I checked it with USPS and it was tracking. Their new shipping is been a mess the past couple of months. I got mine 2 weeks after everyone else last month.
I don’t think they ever used SmartPost. It’s usually Newgistics. Mine has been shipping faster since they moved shipping to KY. I think it used to be in NJ.
You are probably right. They did change something over the past couple of months though, I am just not sure what it is. It’s funny, mine ships from TN. I live in TN. It takes a trip out of state for awhile before it loops around back to me.
Oh, maybe that’s it. TN.
I’m not as excited with this months ipsy as I was last month, but I’m not completely hating it either. The bag is soooo pretty, but my products were hit and miss this time. I got the EVA NYC Hair Mask (yay!), a Pacifica Eyeshadow (deathly allergic to coconut so I won’t be using this at all), the Boo-Boo Cover Up (could be awesome or terrible), the mineral sunscreen (aw yeah!) and some La Fresh wipes (boo). But for $10 I’m happy with it.
Hopefully you can trade some of it!
I am getting box 38 for birchbox for one of my subscriptions. It is my dream box. I get the Pixi Lip Balm, a candle and Nexxus. 7 items is amazing but especially when I will actually use all 7 products. I got box 9 in my other account and it was a complete miss for me. I won’t use a lot of the products. 🙁 Ipsy is ok for me. I wish I had gotten lip stuff or nail polish, but oh well.

We are getting 3 of the same items – I am getting the Hangten sunscreen, Pacifica eyeshadow, Pur-lisse moisturizer, Hey Honey Mask and the Derma E scrub – online it looks like lots of people are upset about this one but I am very happy – I buy 3 tubes of sunscreen a summer at least so that right there is the value of my bag!
I don’t think it’s a bad month at all. No eyelashes or eyeliner? I am happy!
My Birchbox for May had Beauty Protector Shampoo and Conditioner, LAQA & Co. Coral Lip Pencil, Supergoop, and IsoVoxy. My Ipsy for May has Pacifica, Nailtini, Hang 10, Purlisse, and an eye shadow brush. I love my Birchbox this month and am excited about Ipsy! 🙂

I just got an email that said my box was delayed, no eta on shipping date or when the page will update. They added 100pts to my account, but I think this is my last month. The service has gone down hill over the last few months. I don’t know if they tried to grow too fast or what, but I hope they figure it out.
I got the 100 points too! They can ship my box late every month if they want to give me 100 points per month for the delay!
I got an email from birchbox that my box is going to be late, and they’re giving me 100 points to apologize. While of course getting it sooner would be great (I’m really excited for my Kate Spade necklace!) I love that they told me ahead of time and of course 100 points is fabulous!
I got that too! I am so not sad anymore. I will happily take my 100 points and late box!

I find it hilarious that the Birchbox you picked for your picture is exactly the one I’m getting. I hope it’s a good size sample of the Smashbox primer. I also got the email regarding the delay and an extra 100 points. For an extra 100 points they can be late every month!
My Ipsy bag also has the Hang Ten sunscreen and Pacific eye shadow. My other three are an eyelash curler, EVA NYC Hair Mask, and Boo Boo coverup. I’m pretty happy with mine though my best friend got the Too Faced Bronzer.
Ha!!! My box updated and I think it’s so-so! I picked box #1 for my picture because it was easiest I think.

I’m getting my first Ipsy bag this month and i’m so disappointed. I’m guessing the quiz really doesn’t play into what you get at all. 4 of the items i’m receiving I didn’t select on the quiz. 1-2 I can understand but 4???? I hope it gets better! I saw some really good boxes I wish I could of gotten. :-/

Aww boo! I’d rather have a late box & get the 100 points! I’ll be getting mine at the end of the week. I’m getting box #25: Whish shaving cream, CoTZ skin tone, Marcelle New Age Power Serum, Color Club Art Duo Pens, & Miss Jessie’s Quick Curls (which I’ll trade since I straighten my hair). Not a bad month, but it could be better…
This month is my first Ipsy Glam Bag: the bag is adorable! I’ll be getting: Hang Ten SPF, Pacifica Eye shadow, Avene Thermal Spring Water, Balanced Guru No Frizz Oil, & Boo Boo cover up. I’m not overly impressed but I’m pumped about the bag & eye shadow!
Also, in the newsletter you mentioned BB is doing a book club? Where can I find info on this?

I can’t get birchbox in Canada but my daughters IPSY came on Monday. I’m still on the waitlist for one and topbox waitlist. I don’t like wait-lists

I got my Birchbox yesterday. I got box #34 with the No. 4 volumizing shampoo & conditioner, CoTZ facial sunscreen, Whish shave cream, LAQA & Co. sheer lip lube & gummy vitamins. Overall I’m content, but I’m more excited about Ipsy! The sheer lip lube was a sheer purple, which I may or may not be able to pull off and I was hoping the conditioner would have been the same sample size as the shampoo instead of a foil packet. Or at least the other way around. I use way more conditioner than shampoo.
For Ipsy I’m getting the pacifica eyeshadow, EVA NYC hair mask, microdermabrasion scrub, Jersey Shore sunscreen and the honey peel off mask. Definitely looking forwrd to the honey mask! 🙂
