Sephora Summer Crushes
Cost: $45.
Ships To: United States.
I loved the Sephora Sun Safety Kit (which is now sold out) so much that I knew I had to order the Sephora Summer Crushes one. This kit includes Sephora’s top brands to tan, style, protect, soothe, scent, and relax this summer. The products included are designed to give nourishment to the skin, hair, lips, and body and provide all you need for a bountiful, beautiful summer.
The Sephora Summer Crushes Kit isn’t a subscription box, rather it’s available for $45 at Sephora online or in store while supplies last. And since this isn’t a subscription box, it doesn’t include an information card which is fine since all of the contents for this one, along with sizes, are listed when you buy it. Here is what was included:
~Caudalie Divine Oil ($9): Not only does this smell good, but you can use it on your body, face and even your hair! I am not sure if that is one of the official uses for it, but it works.
~Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse in Medium ($8.97): I haven’t used this yet (other than a quick test), but this is supposed to be long lasting and give “flawless color”. I actually haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to waste those two weeks worth of tan just yet. Maybe for the 4th of July? It also included a mini mitt to apply it with.
~Bumble and bumble Surf Spray ($15): I almost forgot this even existed! I used to buy it years ago and had forgotten how much I liked it. I actually just think I had forgotten how much I liked sea salt sprays for a few years. They give my hair the texture it lacks otherwise.
~Lavanila The Healthy Fragrance in Vanilla Coconut ($4.44): I love Lavanila stuff and I was excited to see this included in here. I only wish it were bigger! I am not sure what my favorite scent from this line is, but I recommend trying them out.
~Living Proof® Restore Mask Treatment ($12): I have so many hair masks and treatments that I need to use (most from the Allure Summer Beauty Box) that this one is going to have to wait a bit. It’s a weekly treatment nourishes each strand, increasing strength and manageability, leaving hair soft, shiny and smooth.
~Shaveworks™ The Cool Fix™ ($5.50): This is an after shave gel to help soothe “shaving woes”. I think I am going to give it to B to use, although it can be used by women as well.
~Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 in Shea Butter & Vitamin E ($3): For whatever reason, I think of Jack Black products as being just for men. I also associate them with the actor Jack Black, which is also wrong since they have nothing to do with each other. All that said, I love this. It was kind of a given since I most most all lip balms, but this is a good one.
~Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ ($8.15): I always like the Supergoop line and this one is nice because it doesn’t feel greasy or make me break out.
~Murad® Essential-C Sun Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 35 PA+++ ($25): Oh goodness, I didn’t realize that this was a full sized product! I was all ready to buy more, but it’s a pricey one. But also fabulous! I love that it’s a balm and can easily be applied around the eye area and on kids ears without making a mess.
~DERMAdoctor® Shrinking Beauty ($10.55): This is a body lotion that is designed to help skin feel smoother, more toned and firm. It’s too soon to tell if it works, but I like the idea ;).
~Travel bag: All the of the products come in this awesome canvas travel bag which is just like the Summer Safety one, except the “sun” on this one is gold and not pink. It’s super roomy and could for sure serve as a toiletry case for a weekend getaway.
All totaled I came up with a value of $101.61 for the Sephora Summer Crushes bag. Sephora says it has a value of $120, but I didn’t include the bag in my price and I know that sometimes if you buy things in a smaller quantity it costs more per unit so I am guessing all that accounts for the different. I paid $45 (plus I got $6.75 cash back on ebates) and I am super happy with that! I will be on the lookout for this one again next year for sure.
What do you think of the Sephora Summer Crushes bag? If you are interested in purchasing one, click here! I totally recommend going through ebates first though because are offering 4% cash back at Sephora right now. I think they were offering 15% cash back or something crazy like that when I made my purchase!
