Allure Beauty Box
Cost: $54.95/season ($44.95 + $10 S/H) (Now Sold Out)
Ships To: Continental United States.
Much to my surprise, my Allure Summer Beauty Box arrived this week! I was able to order last week when it originally went on sale, but I was still surprised (and happy) it came so quickly.
If you aren’t familiar, Allure releases Beauty Boxes on a seasonal basis and have been for years and years. The boxes are jam packed with tons of products and are an incredible value. This season’s box was $44.95 and promised to have a value of over $350!!! As you can imagine, their Beauty Boxes are always a hot commodity and the Summer one was no exception! You can read about some of the craziness of it all here. Their site crashed the day it was originally set to go on sale, but a few of us where able to get through using a backdoor link someone over at Makeup Talk posted. The sale was rescheduled by Allure for the 6th of May and I believe the boxes sold out within 10 minutes (if that). So bottom, line, if you want one, you have to work for it.
The Allure Beauty Box (all 12 pounds of it) ships via UPS. It took about two days to arrive, which was awesome. I have ordered these boxes in the past and I never recall them shipping this quickly after the sale. I love it though!
I could not drag this box in from the garage fast enough after the UPS guy dropped it off! It’s like Christmas going through this thing!
Eeek! Look at all that! I don’t always personally use / need everything in the boxes (it’s a ton of stuff), however, if I will pass it along to friends or donate it to a woman’s shelter so nothing goes to waste.
The Summer Allure Beauty Box (and all of their Beauty Boxes) include an information booklet with product information, details on where you can buy it, etc. Also, the information booklet noted that a portion of the proceeds of this box were donated to NYU Langone Medical Center to benefit melanoma research! Here is what was included:
~Aloxxi Flexible Hairspray ($18): This hairspray provides a “flexible hold” and light shine and also protects hair color from the sun. This will be a great summer item! Maybe I won’t have to recolor my hair so often?
~Big Sexy Hair Get Layered Flash Dry Thickening Hairspray ($17.95): I don’t have layers, which is what this hair spray works best with, so I will probably pass this along to a friend.
~Burt’s Bees Even-Tone Moisturizing Cream ($20): This will even skin tine and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in just 8 weeks. I am experimenting with some LUSH moisturizer right now, but maybe this one will be next?
~Cargo Cosmetics Essential Lip Gloss ($16): I just got this same exact color (Tuscany) in my Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box yesterday! Ha! I loved it then and I love it again now.
~Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths ($6.49): I used cleansing cloths / wipes all the time and I have been realizing that they aren’t cheap. That’s why I am thrilled to see these in here.
~Developlus Anti-Aging Hair Treatment System ($20): This has me so intrigued. After two weeks you are suppose to have vibrant, youthful hair. I am super into my hair right now (that sounds so weird), so I am all over this. I am starting it Monday.
~Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash ($5.49): This will be an L item! He uses an insane amount of shower gel / body wash, so this giant bottle in a great scent will be perfect for him.
~Flower Nail’d It Nail Lacquer ($4.98): I was not aware that Drew Barrymore had a cosmetics line, but this is from it! I love the color and I love nail polish, so it’s a win!
~GK Hair ThermalStyleHer ($15.99): This is a heat protectant which will give you a smooth finish while conditioning your hair. I used it this morning before I dried my hair and thought it made my hair shinier than normal which I loved.
~IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better® CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ ($38): How on earth Allure knew that this was the exact color for me I will never know, but I love this stuff! It blends well and you don’t need a ton of it to get good coverage. Totally recommend!
~Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick ($8.49): I have said it a million times, but somehow for me a color stick / lip crayon is totally different than lipstick. It’s the cute factor I think. This color may be a little on the bright side for me, but I’ll give it a try.
~Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face + Body Stick Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 70 ($9.99): LOVE! This is going to be perfect for the summer and will be easy to tote along in my bag without having to work about it spilling all over the place.
~Not Your Mother’s Intensive Hair Unit Renewal Treatment ($7.99): This is to be used once a week to give your hair a deep conditioning treatment. I am going to start that two week treatment on Monday and then I will probably add this to my routine when that is over.
~One ’N Only Argan Oil Cream-to-Serum Styler ($11.99): I haven’t gotten a chance to use this yet, but I am beyond curious about it. It gets mixed reviews, but is suppose to leave hair smooth, shiny, manageable and healthy looking, all of which sound great.
~Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Heat Protect Spray ($23): I feel like I have tried this somewhere, but I can’t seem to pinpoint where? It protects hair against styling tools and since I am still mulling over a curling wand, this may come in quite handy.
~Pureology Fresh Approach Dry Conditioner ($24): I received this in my Mother’s Day GLOSSYBOX yesterday as well. It restored softness, shine, etc. while eliminating frizz and static. I don’t need this right now, but it’s only a matter of time.
~Redken Mess Around 10 Disrupting Cream-Paste ($15): Ohh, this is another L item! He’s going to want to be doing his hair all spiky now that it’s not winter heat weather and he likes to have his own products instead of just sharing with B.
~Rembrandt Deeply White® Toothpaste ($6.99): Who doesn’t need new toothpaste? I can’t even tell you the last time I paid for toothpaste!
~Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara ($5.99): I want to try this, but I also don’t know if I will get to it since I have about a dozen mascaras in front of it I want to try. I need to start wearing full eye makeup daily.
~Rusk Freezing Spray ($19): This may end up in the donate / gift pile because I don’t know that I ever really need extreme hold in my hairspray. But I will find a good home for it.
~Sally Hansen Triple Shine™ Nail Color and Top Coat ($9.98): I love that we got a top coat and a polish. And I love the polish color I got. It’s a fun summery orange which is awesome.
~Softsoap Sea Kissed Exfoliating Body Wash ($5.99): Another L item for sure! I am going to steal a few uses though because it smells fabulous and really makes me think I am on vacation.
~TanTowel Classic Self-Tan Towelettes ($12): Love TanTowels! I just got some in another box and am happy to get more. These are a summer staple for me.
~Tarte lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara ($20): I am cracking up because even though I have a similar Tarte Mascara, I could not figure out how to open it. I always want to pull the soft cover off, but that’s not how this works. Love this mascara and since I did actually get it open, I have to start using it now ;).
All totaled I came up with a value of $343.31 for the Allure Summer Beauty Box! Eeek! Incredible! And I used online prices and not retail prices. Amazing! This box was super heavy on the hair products, but like I said I am super into making my hair fabulous right now so I do not mind one bit! Seriously for $44.95 how could I resists all this? You’re right, I couldn’t!
Were you lucky enough to score an Allure Summer Beauty Box? What do you think? I believe the next one that will go on sale will be the Fall Beauty Box and I think that will be in like August. Of course I will post a million reminders so no one misses it! And don’t forget I am giving one of these boxes away! If you want to enter, or just go back and get some more entries (you can enter daily), click here!
aww not fair! Mine says it wont arrive until Monday at the earliest! BOOOO
I got lucky that they ship from the east coast!
I bought Drew Barrymore’s Flower Nail Polish the other day, needs 2 coats but I love it! With a top coat, I’m on Day 4 of polish and no chipping!
I always need two coats! I am going to have to look for this stuff at the store.
see, i’m totally right about the toothpaste! i cannot not not wait to get my box! i never wear hairspray, i don’t see that changing with the baby coming. I also need to get better about doing my face every day, my kids LOVE IT. But right now I’m too deep into this furniture assembly mess.
How many things did you buy??
ALL THE THINGS.
i bought 2 alex drawers, a desk (may/may not get returned, we aren’t sure yet), a bench with drawer for kids’ room, storage drawers for kids, tall cabinet for kids, wardrobe for baby,
did you see my box picture?

now that i go look at it, i also got the turquoise metal cart, a shelving unit for bathroom, a cart for kids bathroom, a stool, the list goes on. they are picking up/replacing a damaged item (second set of drawers) on sunday.
everything looks amazing. i didn’t build today. very tired and i organized my crap instead.
O.M.G. That is insanity. How many more things do you need to build? I take it you are not moving?
I got mine yesterday as well. My nail polish colors didn’t make me happy (the Sally Hansen was a blue glitter thing and the Drew Barrymore was a lilac that isn’t suitable with my skin). Otherwise, I loved everything!
I was wondering how many variations of the polish there were!!!
OMG!I’m beyond obsessed with this box I was beyond obsessed with it before I even got it. I was stalking tracking I met the UPS man at the door he told me that was the fastest I’ve ever moved for beauty box that he had dropped off. (Slightly embarresing)? I posted about this being so much cooler than my Mother’s Day GlossyBox that I was already excited about. I am totally into my hair right now as well, so I was super excited about everything in this box. I just left from getting my hair colored and I showed my hair lady everything she could not believe it even at her car it would never be that cheap..
I know. It is SO much great stuff! I wanted to run out and grab them from the UPS man, but I didn’t want him to think I was nuts.
I said it before, and I will say it again, SO jealous! That was one of the best Allure Beauty Boxes I have seen thus far!! I am so happy you were able to grab some!!!
I seriously clear my schedule for these. LOL!
I managed to order one this week, but my confirmation email says it won’t ship for 2-4 weeks! Really I’m just happy that I got one at all though. I think they sold out about a minute after I placed my order.
OK, I spoke too soon, haha. I got a shipping email today. My box should arrive next Tuesday. I’m excited!
Mine said that too. And it came after 8 days after I ordered it!
Ahhh! I’ve been dying to try that Big Sexy Hair product because my layers are NEVER voluminous. Stupid heavy hair. I wish I could’ve snagged this fab box! It’s amazing that it got to you so quick!
Man that came SOOOOOOOOOO fast!! I just tracked mine said it will delivered Monday and of course I sent it to work and am off Monday! Ahhh I might not be able to wait until Tuesday. I always ship to my office and PopSugar says will be delivered Sat and since we are closed now I have to wait till Tuesday for that too! UGH I need to switch and ship them to my house LOL
SO fast! I was amazed. And OMG, I would need to go get those ASAP!
Are you going to review your latest LUSH purchases? I would love to know how you like Cupcake. Have you tried the LUSH charity Pot yet?I have not smelled it yet but I think I’m going to make it my go to end of the year teacher gift ( if it smells good) Then I don’t have to think about it and it helps a charity too…
I will do a review!!!! I love that as amend of year teacher gift idea!
What shade was the CC cream? I have been wondering what shade I will be getting!
The Flower polishes are wonderful, I have them in several shades and they are very chip resistant. There are great lipsticks in the line as well (the bolder shades are high quality and beautiful). I can’t believe how many products they packed into this box, I’m glad I decided to try again on May 6th. Even though I can’t begin to use all these products, I can easily donate them to local charities or give them to friends. I love trying new things and the Allure beauty box is always a winner! Thanks for your review, it was great to read more about all the items in the box.
So glad you tried again and got it. The first time was just crazy!
I wish I’d looked at it. That’s an amazing group of products.
Make a note to snag the Fall one! They are an incredible value.
Jenny, i love tbe hairspray, the girl at the beauty shop used this on me and it did make a difference with my thin baby fine hair, a little expensive tho for everyday or so, but great if your going out.
That was an amazing box , I love reading your reviews, keep up the great work!
Thanks! I think Dani was jealous I scored one!
AAAAGGGHHHH! Kicking myself for missing out. Lots of great products for you to use!
It’s always such a deal!
I’m so glad you posted the contents of this box more thoroughly. I snagged two of them and I’m anxiously awaiting their arrival on Tuesday. I only need one, the other is going on eBay.
It seems every year that these are normally pretty heavy with hair care, I’m glad to NOT be receiving a ton of facial cleanser like last year!
Have fun going through everything! I think that might be the best part!
I received the blue glittery Sally Hansen polish and an obnoxious orange Flower Beauty polish. I’m wishing I got the Lilac color that someone else received!
Jennifer do you know when the next box will be? And how do you find out? I’m have it get this box next time lol.
I want to say that last year the fall one was announced in August sometime???
