Citrus Lane Mystery Box (Lace & Trace Farm)

Yay!  My latest round of Citrus Lane Mystery Boxes arrived today!  Since they are so different I thought I would do the reviews separately, so look for another one tomorrow.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child.   They also have been offering Mystery Boxes every once in a while, which I love. In this latest round of Mystery Boxes, they offered the following choices: Mom Treat (featured a beautiful Stella and Dot Bracelet and other favorite beauty brands for mom), Baby Car (included a Plan Toys Baby Car and other products that are appropriate for babies (ages 0-12 months), Skip Hop Zebra Plate & Bowl (included a Skip Hop Divided Plate and Bowl Set and other products which are appropriate for a variety of ages, recommended for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 12 months+), Lace & Trace Farm (included a Melissa & Doug Lace and Trace Farm and other products for preschool boys (ages 2 years+) and Ivy Bean Paper Dolls (featured Chronicle Ivy & Bean Paper Dolls and other products for preschool girls (ages 2 years+).  I opted for the “Mom Treat” and the “Lace & Trace Farm” ones, but though I’d do the Lace & Trace Farm Mystery Box first.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post.  And, as always, my box took about a week to arrive.

First Look

I couldn’t tell too much from the first look, but the box was heavy which made me think it was packed pretty full which made me happy!  The Citrus Lane Mystery Boxes don’t contain information cards, but the following items were included:

~I Took The Moon for a Walk ($7.84): I know going into these boxes that I will get some repeats and this was one of them. It’s a really cute book though and will make a great add to item for a birthday gift.

I Took The Moon for a Walk

~Hohner Puppy Slide Flute ($9): Love it!  The louder the better!  We got a boat whistle in a previous mystery box from CL so now each of the kids has one!  I know I would have ended up buying a second any, so this is great!

~Hello Hana Hello Books ($9.95): I love these books.  They are great for L to use to practice writing his own stories, but fun at the same time because you can decorate them too.

Hello Hana Hello Books

~med4Kidz MediBuddy ($5.29): I probably have received about a half dozen of these in the past year or so, but I still love them.  It’s got 40 different first aid items in it and is perfect for traveling or just to throw in your diaper bag or purse.

~Faber Castell Doodling Pad ($2.49) & Jumbo Beeswax Crayons ($4.99): Another essential around here.  I wouldn’t buy $4.99 crayons myself, but we do love these and they are awesome to have around.

~Melissa & Doug Lace & Trace Farm Animals ($9.99): I don’t know who needs these more.  Myself or L. Our lacing skills are seriously lacking. Hopefully we can figure these out so at least one of us can teach WB the proper way!

~Hape Bamboo Car ($4.99): We have a bunch of these little cars and love them.  WB and L both love playing with cars, so the more the better.

~Green Eats Tumblers ($5.99): I am slowly switching all of our plates and cups over to these Green Eats ones when I find them on sale.  I picked up a bunch last time they were on Haute Look, but I actually don’t have the yellow cups yet!

Green Eats Tumblers

All totaled I came up with a value of $60.53 for the Citrus Lane “Lace & Trace Farm” Mystery Box.  Citrus Lane promised a value of $60+, so it was right in line with what they promised.  I love the Mystery Boxes they do and can’t resist them at all! I am hoping that they do one for ages 4+ soon because that’s one age I don’t think they have gotten to with their Mystery Boxes yet.

Did you get a Citrus Lane Mystery Box? Which one did you pick and what was in it? All of the Mystery Box options are currently sold out, but I will let you know as soon as more are released (if they release more that is)! If you haven’t tried Citrus Lane yet, but want to give them a go, you can use the coupon code “TAKE20OFF” to get your first month for only $9 (reg. $29/month)!!
